Almost every single game, there are at least 2 people on my team that are in a damn party chat… How am i supposed to call out where the enemy is if i can’t talk to you??? I would also like to know where you just got killed from too. I can understand if you have a full squad and want to stay in a chat, but come on you knuckleheads. This is a game of communication. SMH (done venting)
No, you don’t know my friend. We banned him from talking in public. I’m doing everyone a favor by keeping him in party chat.
it’s called friends, put together a squad or just do some FFA. I kind of get annoyed when using my mic, some people are in a party to avoid the harsh comments of many over-reactive players, which seems to be happening more frequently with this whole marketing to competitive gamers. frankly I don’t blame them for being in that party of two, ignoring the negative comments.
Well people socialise with friends that is what the party chat is for. I might want to play Halo and my friend Forza I’m not just gonna not talk to friends in a party cause I am playing a game. Also 70% of the matchmaking population don’t know what a callout is or what it refers to so it’s pritty much useless unless you got a 4 man team or are lucky with randoms.
I’m almost always in a party helps me ignore peoples complaining when things go south and people get salty about it and start raging on mic.
I agree if someone who is not in your party, gets annoying mute them.
But otherwise they should be available for callouts.
wow so you are complaining the game is sucking cause of party chat yet you quit out of games? You are the reason matchmaking sucks not party chat. Stop quitting.

Yes there is. Same place where you switch from fire team chat to game chat.

Kind of the same with one of my friends, he makes so many stupid comments sometimes it’s painful to listen to.
Also, I hate to say it but this is rapidly turning into a game for dumb little kids who think I want to hear them curse while their parents aren’t around, that and death metal lovers with a Kinect.

Ive endured too much shouting , singing and other strange noises where i dont even want to think of what they were doing so no game chat for a while i think
Don’t tell me how to play the game.

I feel bad for you if you have to deal with that. I have never had that issue though, which is good. but, you know OP, many people are shy or feel weird when talking to strangers, even in a video game. its just human nature.

Are you suggesting to make your own party to not hear them?
To answer him, there is a mute button. Hold the view button and scroll to whoever is being annoying and press A, or just press X to mute all. Problem solved.
So what I got from this topic.
-If you want to communicate with people in halo 5 get a fireteam of friends.
Okay but what if all your friends are now into Fallout or Black ops? Still need your current team to talk with so you can get together during the match. Maybe form new friendships and have only halo friends? I dont know…Im stuck in the Halo 3 days for me where that happen a lot.
But yeah, its fun to hear the “game” itself have shoutouts but I rather have actual human voices saying HEY there heading toward the rockets or the whole teams by my X.
Maybe not even that…just random chit chat.
God, Party Chat ruined social gaming. If I had known years ago that Party Chat would turn playing games into a silent wasteland where you may as well be playing with bots, I may have wished it didn’t exist.
I miss post-match trash talk (back when people could do it respectfully and not call you a N***er every two seconds), people asking if you wanted to party up for Customs or something…
For all the pros Party Chat brought, what it did to social gaming is a MASSIVE con that almost isn’t worth it.

True, I don’t want people yelling at me just because I’m not as good as them or just because they’ve had a bad day, besides, almost everyone speaks english and criticize when a mexican tries to comunicate, so whatevs
I just wish you could ready up with good players after a match, like in Halo 3, because Joining games is sometimes problematic.

I was informed of how much i suck tonight. I already knew that, and since I cant mute just that guy i either have to mute everyone or listen to him be a jerk. Same thing with the dude blaring his radio during a breakout match. I cant mute just him so everyone got muted just so i could concentrate.
Im in party chat as much as i possibly can be.
