Seriously, 343, the attempts at humor in the latest Spartan Ops episode have to be THE worst writing i’ve seen since that commercial of Whitney i mistakenly watched. (Yes, that was my attempt at humor.)
After seeing that intense cut-scene we get thrown into what sounds like Bill and Ted’s Spartan Adventure for the first couple of minutes of the first two chapters.You can sort of excuse Roland a bit because he is an AI but he goes over the line too much. Miller, on the other hand, acts like he is some sort intern being given his first assignment to do alone. This probably has to do with the fact he is a Spartan IV but since we havent been given any sort of info on them i am basing their characteristics on the previous Spartan stuff.
For the next set of episodes can you guys tone it down or at least make these people seem like professionals and not look like bumbling idiots that had no idea of what they are doing? Let the comedy flow naturally, dont force it, dont have designated comedy sections.

Honestly I did get some lols since we got to see Miller fly solo and not have Palmer to feed him some false confidence. Might not have been alot of real characterization, but it was still a little bit better than having to hear Palmer going crazy in her use of the word ‘egghead.’
I’m just tired of 343 especially sticking in Female commanders with these big balls who orders everyone and uses the same overused phrase every -Yoink!- minute.
Get over the need to jam annoying women in our faces with an attempt to give them equality. Just because you have two or three outspoken females at your company, doesn’t mean we need that jammed into the game.
Palmer is my favorite spartan. She is so tough and I like to listen to her all the time. She also has a very good sense of humor. For instance, when she was telling Roland to shush up I was laughing so hard. "Keep the comms clear! Protocol Miller!"haha it was just so funny 343 did a great job what are you talking about?hahahahah~~ ~ ~ nothing wrong with the dialog this game is serious.

Yes.

I rather have Palmer say ‘kill everything that moves’ and ‘egghead’ a few dozen times more than a Spartan in mission saying, “OMG,LOL! Leading the teamz wuz the ezy!”
My issue with the Spartan Ops humor is the Red VS Blue easter eggs. They break immersion for me and they feel off. There’s no real lead up to the punchline, it’s just a poorly written joke floating in an otherwise great segment of the game. There’s a lot of them too, unlike Bungie’s one spot or so with RvB voice overs. Everyone activating the easter eggs constantly is getting old really fast.

a.) Who cares how many guys play Halo? Is everyone in the military a man in the future?
b.) Please name all of these outspoken women in the game. I’ll start… Sarah Palmer, aaaaaaaand… That’s it.
c.) You’re telling me you’d rather have strong men jammed in your face?
I’d rather listen to the bad dialogue then to hear Palmer’s bad attempt at sounding like some, “tough, female soldier who’s female that doesn’t take no guff from no one because she’s FEMALE!”.
I especially hate her constant negative attitude towards scientists in general. Because you know, only losers would read books and create armour with energy shielding for soldiers to survive in combat with a vast, superior race of aliens. Pfft, what losers. Also she’s female.

Miller, eggheads inbound boots on the ground a.s.a.p. ain’t that right Majestic let’s give 'm some toys to play with if it moves shoot it push that button Crimson, I’m so tough I can talk the Sargeant talk.
I have this strange suspicion that if Palmer were a man we wouldn’t hear this many complaints about how “tough” the character acts. As for the humor it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s not laugh out loud hysterical but it’s not atrocious either. Also, I love Bill & Ted -_-
