Stop teleporting!

Honestly, the teleporting gimmick that the Prometheans have is a useful tool for having them arrive in the battlefield, but when it comes to gameplay, it just gets frustrating, especially on Heroic.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Prometheans as enemies, and I had a total fangasm when they were introduced in Halo 4, because one of my fondest wishes had come true. You see, when I first played Halo CE, I thought that the Forerunners were still very much around, and that they had simply abandoned our Galaxy, leaving all their tech behind. I always wanted the Forerunners as enemies, and before Halo 2 came out, I had hoped it was about the Forerunners returning to the Galaxy to seek vengeance against the Chief for “vandalizing” their property (destroying Halo). Then, in Halo 2, Guilty Spark says they’re dead, ruining my dreams.
But then Halo 4 came out, and what do you know? The Didact, a Forerunner, returns and he has an army of Prometheans. This was like a dream come true for me, because I always envisioned the Forerunners as a super-advanced race who used robots to fight their wars for them.
But back to the issue at hand: who here is pissed off at the Prometheans’ teleporting abilities?

It isn’t teleporting, it’s ballet.

It can be frustrating, but it’s what makes them formidable opponents at times. I see no problem with it. Sometimes they teleport an extra time and that’s what is frustrating you, but it just makes the gameplay more dynamic.

I wouldn’t say their ability has ever angered me, but I will agree that they do it a tad too much. But at the same time, they do need something to give them their own identity, distinct from their Covenant counterpart, Elites, and their bigger brothers, Knights. I think their mobility fills that role nicely.

I realize my post was essentially an “I agree but I disagree,” post. To that I say: Deal with it.

That’s what makes them unique!

Jedi mindtricks don’t work on him apparently

There not that hard to shot and even assassinate was you learn how they move while the “Teleport”.
While they are “teleporting” they can attack which mean you can get in close or duck for cover to regenerate your armour and/or reload.

The trick is to take one out at a time single one out and void getting spotted by the others.

The challenge is fun.

Hardly a challenge once you’ve studied their movements for a while, watch a few play backs and you’ll so see the patterns in the movements.

Tip: Finish the commendation and finish the campaign. Then, never shoot at them again.

That’s what I do at least…

Technically it isn’t teleporting, one could theorize. On the last mission, Locke finds Exuberant’s “humble collection of specimens brought to Genesis by the Guardians”.

One of these specimens is a soldier locked behind an energy barrier trying to teleport out, to no avail (or a VALE, heh heh). It is more like fast travel, but I agree that it is annoying as -Yoink!
