Stop stabbing yourself = default glitch

So I finally got my last assassination, the one I actually wanted, Stop Stabbing Yourself. I did it three times in one day, but then every time after that, I kept doing Enter the Matrix, the one where you cover the victim’s mouth and stab him in the back of the head, at least six times in a row! I assumed it was complete chance, since this assassination happens randomly with every assassination, and I was extremely unlucky, but then I started doing this, which is exclusive to the Default assassination! This happened once before I shot that clip. I checked to see which assassination I had selected, and it was Stop Stabbing Yourself! Why is this happening?!?!

Note: the clip I’m referring to is the first one at the top of the list, in case you were wondering.

It depends on the timing and placement of the Spartans sometimes. Sometimes the game isn’t able to show the animation and will default to a different one.

I was in a wide open space!

That’s pretty odd. Probably just a dumb glitch tbh

The Stop Stabbing Yourself animation heavily relies on the slope of the ground moreso than other animations. I believe it is the prevent the victims from glitching through a ramp after being saved.

So, 343 makes us unlock these stupid assassinations via points earned from gameplay, and they don’t even work correctly?

No it’s not that. They work fine. They probably just added a strict algorithm on which animation to perform depending on the surrounding area, slope of area, etc. so victims wouldn’t glitch out of the map if saved by a teammate.

This could be the case if being the victim in the assassination animation actually changed your hitbox.

Angle matters too.

Center does your selected assasination.
Right and left shoulder sides “can” default.
If there isn’t enough room, it does default or default alternates.

I’ve don’t that assasination when I was in a hallway.
(Wearing fisticuffs/spin cycle)

How’s this: I attempted to do it on the lowest level of pound town with plenty of room and an extremely flat surface in MM, and it still didn’t do the right one!
