I see that a lot of people are getting angry and anxious about Halo 5 after looking at the Metacritic score. Reading the review is much more important than looking at the number they slap on at the end of the article. Even though Halo 5 has an 85 on Metacritic the game itself is better than it seems. Every review has praised the multiplayer, but a few had issues with the campaign. It wasn’t that the campaign was bad, but that the story was too complex and it requires knowledge of the lore from the books. Any serious Halo fan that is looking forward to this game should already know an adequate amount of the lore. After reading the reviews I am confident that Halo 5 will be an awsome game and a worthy addition to the Halo franchise.
Bump! Unfortunately, low quality threads are sliding yours down.
Yes, it will an awesome game for sure.
It seems to be like halo 2. A lot of people hated halo 2s campaign, but the majority of people today actually say that it’s the best game in the franchise. I don’t put too much faith into these review sites, and neither should anyone else.
I can’t wait, no one can mess up my hype for this game!

I’ve seen the plot, and it’s pretty much terrible. It breaks established lore and forgets about all of Halo 4’s themes. Plus, some critics are stating that the campaign is generally disappointing, not just a mess story-wise. Either way, the game is getting good reviews, but it definitely has serious flaws and it’s not GOTY material.
Amen! I am going to reserve judgement until I actually play the game for myself. Most people who are posting on this forum and say they are cancelling their orders, etc., are just looking to insight heated conversation for attention. I know I always have fun with Halo so this one will be no different.
I completely agree. Plus, I personally like the more complex stories since they’re much more interesting.

well said my man, I have loved every piece of Halo media regardless of what people have said. Thats not a fanboy talking just a fan. Sure i prefer some Halos more than others but I always make my own informed decision. I loved the Halo Reach Campaign, many slated it, thats just their opinion. As you said i always have fun , so do I
AMEN! We need to get the word out too many Poor souls today think Meta critic dictates how good a game is -__-
If you’re a fan of the previous games and saw potential in what 343 did with Halo 4, then reviews are entirely meaningless to you. You’re going to buy the game regardless and will form your own opinion based on what you like and dislike about Halo.
Everyone’s different.
Halo 2 was just as polarizing as this and it’s now considered the best in the series by a lot of people. And almost every review I’ve come across is from someone unfamiliar with what happened in Halo 4, nevermind what happened in the rest of the series or expanded universe. If you’re all caught up with the expanded universe and fully understand the lore and characters, then the reviewers aren’t scoring the game based on the experience you will have.
If you have to criticize 343 for anything before you actually play the game, then criticize them for making the story incomprehensible to those who haven’t read a bunch of novels and comics, listened to a serial podcast, understood Halo 4, and still remember all of it 3 years later. Fortunately I’m a big enough Halo fan to be all caught up with the expanded universe and can’t wait to get my hands on the next part of the story.
If it sucks, I’ll probably come straight here to say why I think so, but I won’t let the opinions of others tarnish my view of a game I haven’t even played yet.
