I am sick of people trying to claim that the game is somehow free and that excuses all the issues the game has or the very least the horrible store.
I can’t speak for everyone, but every person I know and have spoken to (minus 1 guy who didn’t even want to play it in the first place, until I got him to try at least) bought the Campaign and I imagine that is the case for almost every single Halo fan and the people who were hyped for this game. The campaign costs $60 and I 100% it in 20 hours completely blind on legendary (minus the last few audio logs I couldn’t find) and then did a LASO run in 4 and a half hours for a total of 24 and a half hours. That is laughably short for a $60 campaign and the only reason it’s fine to price it that instead of the $20 it should be is because the MP is “free”
Listen, I love the game, I think it has a lot of potential and if 343 fixes the main issues (crashing on PC, no rejoin button (especially in ranked) not allowing players to turn off input device crossplay in every playlist, BTB being a broken mess and so on) this could very well be my favourite game ever, but stop trying to justify these things when they charge full price for a very short, although good, campaign on top of having the worst store I’ve ever seen from any AAA games (minus EA stuff) and even some “free” phone games.
