I cant be the only one frustrated that the way we are finding out about everything this year is through MegaBloks? Yes we got an audio message trailer revealing the Banished but again we already new they were going to be in the game because of what? Oh yeah also MegaBloks. I’m sorry the game is less than half a year away at this point so the vast majority of what they are doing with the game is polish. Therefore there is literally no reason why they couldn’t have made an actual ingame trailer that reveals this stuff instead of revealing it in toys. The “leaks” were one thing but this stuff is official.
And dont say, Well megablok has revealed stuff for a lot of Halos". Litteraly ever other Halo that was this close to release has shown ingame gameplay footage and I’m talking about even before E3. This will be by far the latest gameplay reveal for any Halo Game. And they are fine with letting everything be revealed through Blaming TOYS?
And don’t tell me that covid 19 is making it so they cant make a trailer because all they need is the game, some of the music from the game, the ability to record the game, and a video editing software. If i had the game and it’s music I could do that by myself. There is no reason 343 and the tech giant Microsoft cant.
Do we know for sure that everything shown is 100% reflective of what the game’s going to be like, and some of it not just merely “inspired by” and not totally indicative of what the real material’s going to be like?
I know sometimes toys are just based off of the source material and aren’t entirely accurate, but it is concerning all the same. Especially that ‘one figure’ that’s got people talking. I keep thinking back to 343’s statement of “We’re not Game of Thrones here” when people began talking about things like Black Team, and despite that statement it looks like they’re up to bad habits again?
The Megabloks site is down for maintenance right now. Don’t know for certain, but it’s probably to change the more problematic images.

Does that mean it’s like the cape-wearing Chief? We’ll see. I’m hoping it is because regardless what people think of Locke and Palmer, it’s still a waste of a character that other writers might have a better shot with (in the novels e.g.), and still goes against their earlier claim that they don’t just rapidly and frequently kill characters off. Making a never before seen character just to off two others comes across as blatantly defying that statement in my opinion.

Nope, and according to a recent tweet it’s suggesting that not everything shown is going to be “exactly what’s in the game” - akin to, as some had pointed out, the cape-wearing Chief. We saw it in a trailer, but did it ever happen?
So not everything we see on those toys might show up EXACTLY as they’re shown in the game come release. We’ll see in due time though.

I know, I was expecting a crazy reaction to it. But who knows, it was a little interesting to see Locks Helmet on a Banished Brutes shoulder.

Why, because she’s not as thrilling as Johnson is? Has she even DONE ANYTHING to deserve that, other than “I don’t like her”?
Other than being cocky and having a grudge against Halsey (Which I feel is mostly Reed’s doing) she’s just ‘mediocre’ at worst. Hardly worthy of a death sentence.
I get some folks don’t like Locke and Palmer, I really do. However I think this “they need to die” talk is just going way too far. (Meanwhile, pretty sure Del Rio’s still running around free as a bird - unless I missed some recent EU that said otherwise)

The Funny Part is that she is Designed to show what Spartan have become now. They are normal human soldiers with augmentations unlike 2’s. They Make mistakes, get emotional, and Have have bed judgment. I don’t think your supposed to like her not in they way we like Chief or Other 2s/3s. She Shows us that These Spartans are not true Spartans.

I’d rather you just say that you don’t like Palmer because you feel like she’s emotional, or comes off as cocky, than to down play her as a Spartan.
Spartans aren’t just created because it sounds cool. Each of these people have proven themselves to be worthy of the augumentations that make them Spartans.
So what, Spartan VI’s weren’t kidnapped at a young age under Halsey?? It doesn’t make them any less of a Spartan.
Can definitely see how this can be frustrating for folk, but always remember that there is more stuff in play behind the scenes. Marketing stuff like this is generally agreed on and set up months in advance. Unfortunate for sure, but sometimes it’s not something that can be held back. I’m sure had E3 gone ahead as planned, we would have plenty of news that would make sense of some of these reveals. As Brian (ske7ch) tweeted earlier though, not everything released is a direct tie-in to the game. Still plenty to speculate over and be excited for. Don’t worry about the little things right now

She is nowhere near my favorite Character but i would say i don’t like her. My point was her purpose is to show what Spartan 4s are and how different they are from 2s and 3s. I actually like that. I don’t have any problems with her as a character. I’m not trying to down play her but being emotional or cocky are aspect of Spartan 4s not 2s or 3s. That doesn’t make them bad character. However, it shows that they aren’t true Spartan’s. Like i said they are normal soldiers with augmentations. Spartan 2 and 3 are child soldier Indoctrinated and trained from very young age. A Spartan 2 or 3 wouldn’t rebel again the UNSC for their own Gain. 4s would and have. 2s and 3s wouldn’t get cocky or emotional. 4s do.
Some Spartan 4s are made from experienced Soldiers yes but then you have People like Vale who only had Martial arts training and wasn’t a soldier. She was a Sangheili Culture and language expert for ONI. But that’s beyond the point. Even veteran Soldiers in the UNSC don’t have the training or combat experience of Spartan 2s or 3s.
Spartan 3s weren’t under Halsey. Being trained From a young Age is what makes them Spartans. 2s specifically were also chosen for their Superior Genetics. Again I don’t have anything against Spartan 4s or Palmer. I think the hate she and the Spartan 4s get is unjustified.

They could have shown plenty well before E3 just like literally every other Mainline Halo game. The fact that we are getting these reveals from toys and not from the Game is entirely 343/Microsoft’s fault. They knew that these toys were going to be they’re first real reveal. They had plenty of time between when E3 was cancelled and when these were reveal to make a trailer showing this stuff ingame. BLAM. They could have shown gameplay in the first few months of this year and Had beta like Halo 5 did. But they decided to wait till literally the last minute to show anything and now we are getting info through Blamming TOYS. There is supposed to be a beta for Infinite but now there is know way they will have enough time to make any changes based on player feedback. It wont be a beta it might be called a beta but it wont, it will be a glorified demo. I don’t want them to Have the Marketing snafu they had with 5 but if all they show is THE GAME that wont happen. They are either really scared to show the game or real confident both are bad in my opinion.
