Time and time again I brought gold req packs with my hard earned RP, only to get ANOTHER warzone weapon certification. “I know”, I thought, “I’ll buy silver packs instead - this way I will likely unlock more stuff”.
This turned out to be a great idea… I finally unlock loads of decent stuff…this increasing my chance of finally getting something in a gold req pack…
But then you release MORE armor and generally stuff I don’t want. Im so glad I haven’t ploughed any actual money into this game

I think you mean the Requisitions themselves, not the REQ Packs.
I’d agree with the redundant ones, but I’m generally fine with new weapon skins.

I find it ironic of someone of SR27 complaining this much about expecting to get good stuff from req packs especially gold ones
I agree there are too many cosmetics in the req packs. Nothing worse than opening a pack and getting common helmets or armors. I could be in the minority here, but don’t want any more skins, emblems, armors, ar variants, I want new maps.
Well, when you have everything, new reqs are actually welcome.
I love halo but i dont play it all the time like i use to , but thats not halos fault its more to do with the amount gamnig has grown and just how many games that are out there to play that take up my time. But i still try and fit in some halo now and then as i love the franchise. So for somone like me that plays afew hours a week reqs have become totally pointless there are just to many things to unlock that opening any pack gives me prity much just garbage so i just dont care anymore.
When the classic halo armour was announced i was prity excited to get that but yeh thats probably not going to happen, even if i spent a tone of money on packs id still probably not get it and i just dont see the point in trying anymore so all the unlocks ect have just become a non issue for me and i relly dont care anymore, which i feel is a shame.
I know this system is a good way for them to make exra money and there probably never go back to another system after this , but yeh as much as i hated the xp grind that Halo reach had for unlocks at least you could just aim for what you wanted and get it. having a system that is pure RNG is just lame, and tbh makes me play less than i otherwise would.
I finished the Silver grind a couple of updates back. At first I was put out that I had to go back to Silver but when you’ve been on the Gold grind for a while you welcome the return of buying a pack every 5,000 instead of every 10,000. If only for a couple of days.
We need more reqs. Im done with gold and have enough points saved up for 2 monthly updates.

Buying gold at such a low rank is inefficient. You understand how much stuff is in the uncommon and common categories, right? You shouldn’t even look at gold packs if you’re going to -Yoink- about unlocking stuff.

AFAIK, Common unlocks aren’t given in gold packs.
Bronze and Silver packs do, but that’s where it ends.

I want new weapons. And more vehicles. I like killing people, don’t care how my spartan looks while doing it. Too many cosmetics for sure.
I’m SR 93 and love the REQs. I care a lot about skins and assassinations and I don’t get a ton when I open packs. I save up my points to get 100k + but I have that feeling of opening pokemon packs when I was younger. Each new release of new stuff has the feel of a new expansion set. I love the randomness.
didn’t you buy the game? so doesn’t that count as “ploughed any actual money into this game”

Yeah, I’ve always loved opening a pack of cards (for me it was hockey and Magic) but I love that feeling of not knowing what you are getting, even if 90% of it is garbage I’ve already unlocked. I just find it fun.
