Stop quitting my frickin matches!!

Just had half my team quit on me during a BTB Slayer game all because we never got an early lead! When’s 343 actually going to stand up to these fools?!

It’s…horrible in BTB. I popped a purple victory RP boost and joined a BTB game last night…big mistake, it was strongholds, the enemy team immediately capped two points and 3 of my teammates left immediately. I played it out on the off-chance we might pull a win out. The final result of the game? 150 to 7. Yeah. I’m done with BTB in halo 5 ranked. Far too many bad players even at platinum rank+.

They already are. Bans were probably issued.

I’m not really sure what they can do to combat this. There are people who are doing as you say, however I have also experienced myself getting kicked from a game due to server issues. I would imagine it is pretty difficult to tell the difference between those that quit and are kicked. I could be wrong but I think that may be why they aren’t taking a stronger stance against quitters. Does anyone know for sure if they can tell the difference?

The more people quit the longer they need to be banned for. I know this process is already taking effect but it needs to be cranked up a notch. It is also a HUGE problem in TMCC and that is why most people quit playing TMCC multiplayer (myself included). I do still play TMCC co-op campaigns but cant stand the mp because of quitters.

Yeah it’s something like 20 DNF’s and you’ll get a 7 minute ban. Lol you ruin the game for 60+ people and you’re slapped with a 7 minute ban. Do it again we will ban you for 8 minutes!!!

Problem is if you can tell what is a disconnect and what is a quit it wouldn’t be any use because people would just disconnect to quit.

Wow, is that it? 20 DNF’s and that small a punishment? And that’s standing up to them?

I am sure the programming can recognize the difference between getting disconnected and quitting. Either way if someone is disconnecting an excessive amount, then they really need to resolve their connection issues. No offense to anyone having connection issues.

Time penalty bans seems to be useless, quiters should lose ranks and also derank from plat to gold for example.

I am pretty sure that is a guess. I don’t think 343 have officially said the exact punishments for quitting. I would hope it is MUCH more strict than that.

Time bans are the best option. Losing rank would only promote de-rankers like we had in Halo 2 and Halo 3. We do not want to go through that again.

Had a good game of slayer in team arena one game! It was awesome! Then the next game CTF on Truth. Someone instaquit and that turned out an instant loss.

I would say go back to the real halo’s, but I’ve been waiting for a match for twenty minutes.

Even so, it’s nowhere near enough.

Here’s an idea for ranked playlists - Those who quit very frequently and rack up too many quits should start losing their ranks or get disqualified from ranking in the season.

I’ve had this problem aswel thats why I don’t play big team battle. Allot of players just quit when they don’t get a perfect start. :frowning:
