When there is zero chance of winning. Just remove your ‘feature’ 343. It doesn’t work like most of your new additions. No one likes it.

Thanks

Thought this would help you out.

Same problem here so annoying at times.

JiP is great for game pacing and making up for randoms that quit on your team.

It should stay but they should have playlists with visible ranks on them that do not have JiP… JiP should be a social thing.

I like it, replaces lost comrades, prevents game from being unbalanced.

I also haven’t been put into a losing game in a long while now. Generally I get dropped into games that just started.

I know how to avoid it, but sometimes I’m checking previous game stats and what not. It is very annoying though how broken it is even after they say they fixed it.

If you stay in the postgame lobby to reduce your chance of JIP.
You can also play with a full party to avoid JIP.

I agree OP, JIP sucks.

I very rarely get into games that cannot be turned around. Is the system screwing you over consistently or something?

Anyone else still getting into JIP past the cut off point?

> Anyone else still getting into JIP past the cut off point?

I have had quite a few games where that has occured.

I don’t know what the cut off point is, but while in the Community Forge Island Playlist, I got dropped into a game that was (until me) a 4 v 1 where the opposing team was up 3 flags to 0 - the fourth flag was scored as I was waiting to spawn.

When I could actually start playing, the game was 4 - 0, and the opposing team had all on map power weapons and map control.

Just because there are equally many players on each team doesn’t mean the game is balanced.

I’d rather have somebody jump into my match and help than be screwed, personally. When it jumps you in it’s always before the match is halfway long.

I personally have good luck with it, I always join within about the first 2 minutes, but when I’m losing I appreciate people joining

Why is that?

As the average Halo population is well, average. The average Halo population is to be honest, not very good in my eyes. Which will mean, that most of the Halo population is “not very” good players.

If you are already losing against better players, in what way does it help you that “not very good” players join into your game? How would another “-15” help your team?

Remember that people quit, because they often, lose by a lot. Because they play against better players, often better than the not “very good players”.

The only JIP would actually help someone was if it was combined with true-skill.

This is Halo 3 Social, aka Halo 4. I would have needed at least 5 more average players to win that game.

If you read the Bulletin from the 22nd, they are working on true-skill (CSR) with matching games up.

They are? Do you think they’ll be finished in time before Xbox one releases? 343 only has 7 months you know.

Or even make it strict enough? You know, 343s priority is fast search times over anything else.

343 wants this game to be like everything else, and I doubt anything is going to change that. I can’t blame them though, they just want more money, like most other people.

As long as JiP only adds people to fresh games or otherwise early games then it is an excellent feature. Quitting has always been the #1 problem in halo games, there is no point in being spawn camped. If you dont like JiP then eject yourself from the lobby with the network settings trick. Because that trick exists I have no pity for you.

Im not trying to show you up, or brag but I have joined games where I have single handed turned the game around and won the game, or have joined to help a team struggling to keep in the lead (games where the score is always tied) to gain a larger lead for victory. And I have been in games where a person joins and helps ensure my teams victory when I am the only one doing well on a 3 person team.

I ALWAYS appreciate help when it comes in. A 1:1 ratio (4v4) is a lot harder to over come than a 4:3 ratio (4v3), or even a 2:1 ratio (4v2) in some cases. simply because the 1:1 ratio, assuming everyone is playing, it reduces the likelihood of spawn camping, power hoarding, and double, triple, or even quad teaming.

the joining players skill is out of the question, the 1:1 ratio alone makes it more difficult to dominate in its own right. because at least the extra player is some one that, at the very least, can collect power weapons to keep the other team from acquiring them, or to serve as a distraction (protection medals, A-HO!!)

My point is, having a full team is always better, especially in Halo 4 where the maps are more difficult to camp. seeing as I am fully aware that in past Halo’s that in a 2v4, the two man team tended to win, due to there being less targets, but the insta-spawn makes it more difficult to apply those tactics, which in my opinion is good and provides faster gameplay.
