After the big let down that was Halo: MCC, I doubt people will trust anything from 343i again. Beyond that, I believe the best way to save Halo at this point, is put on hold everything related to H5. 343 should use all their resources to fix MCC, postpone the beta if necessary, and give people what they paid for.
There is A LOT of problems with MCC. Too much. Its almost impossible to believe that a fix to everything will be possible. But, the best eforts should be made.
So far, Halo MCC is the second coming of “ET the Extraterrestrial”, and Xbox One the Sega Saturn of Microsoft.
no, halo 5 is more important. They need every bit of the 3 year dev cycle they can use.
More important is trust. And is very hard to believe that 343 will be able to make Halo 5 work at this point. I believe they need more than 3 years to make a new game. They need more people than they have too. The only game they delivered without problems was Halo Anniversary, and this was only a remake. Halo 4 was problematic, Halo MCC is almost useless. They didnt fix the problems with Halo 4, I really dont believe they have what it takes to fix MCC, and with that in mind, Halo 5 is already dead. Its not gonna work, and Halo will die too.
It’s launch day. There’s always problems on launch day. Obviously, this is a huge matchmaking error, but they are working day and night. How much more do you want them to do?
Either way, you have campaign, (glitchy) custom games, and Forge. I’ve just been building Fothe maps in this time

Why do they need to stop production on the game?
Not every member of the team is working on, or even qualified to work on the networking aspect of the game.
I think they should have been focusing on Guardians all along instead of refrying 4 games we’ve already played before. But there are those of us who look forward, and those who look backwards. Neither of us is going to be fully satisfied.

343 take 2 years to “fix” the achivementes in Halo 4. And they didnt fix anything, they just gave the achievements to everyone to finish this matter. So, excuse me if I don’t believe in the competence of this studio. And Halo 4 was just an achievements problem. In MCC is the achievements, saves, access to Nightfall, terminals, coop campaign multiplayer, sound bugs, AND matchmaking.
Meaning; they have their hands full.
Off course, when there is still people bend to give money for a broken game, 343 will keep selling crap, and killing Halo.
They have a team supporting the game post launch and that should suffice for what they’re doing. A lot of situations don’t benefit that much if you just throw a bunch of people at it.
