Sure, there were a couple things I didn’t like about the trailer, but there were also things I liked. I didn’t run off making a thread saying “herp de derpz 343s are ruinz haloz cause thay is addeng cod perks lol im not buying this game it suck.”
First of all, perks don’t exist, they were denied by Frank O’Connor (Franchise Manager and Project Lead on Halo 4).
Now, why can’t we have a calm discussion and provide valid arguments about things we didn’t like instead of declaring a crusade on 343i fueled by blind rage.
Why can’t we also talk about all the good changes they made? It looks like they’re doing a lot not just to bring classic Halo back, but adding new things to make Halo an innovative game while still keeping that balanced sandbox it’s known for.

What is wrong with you guys? You’re all acting like a bunch of whiners and crybabies.

please shut the -Yoink- up… this is just as annoying and has no criticism. 40% of threads complaining about other threads.
why cant we talk about the good things? Because were not all naive and actualy want to improve the bad things.

Here’s another ignorant post. It’s because people want the annoying blind rage to stop and to constructively discuss the issues at hand rather than going all out anti-343i. And just because I want to talk about some of the cool stuff we’ve seen and momentarily escape the negativity doesn’t make me naive.
Why don’t you shut the -Yoink- up and stop causing more problems.
BR is back, i’m very happy with this decision. I really think it needs to be accompanied with hitscan though.
Graphics look phenomenal. This worries me that i won’t be able to play split screen with my friends online (in Reach, in certain playlists, you cannot have more than 2 people in a playlist). Also, i’m a little worried framerate issues might come into play in certain maps. Other than that, i’ve been really impressed with the graphics, can’t wait for the next gen consoles to see what they can do.
Sprint, seems like it will be a default for everyone. I’d prefer to not have it, but i really don’t care in the end.
PERKS ?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Whatever you want to call it. They’ll reveal it eventually, and i think anything is better than Reach
For multiplayer i think the ranking system will be crucial to long term life of the game. If you didn’t already know i want something like this…
Competitive Playlists - Halo 2’s Ranking System
Social Playlists - Reach’s Ranking System
The sneak peak 343 gave us was great. They know exactly what they put in there, and they did it all for a reason. 343 is a big tease, and i trust them (for now…)

> I want a Halo 4 that keeps true to the original formula, while at the same time adds new features that reinforce the formula. There is no reason to abandon the formula that made and has kept Halo succesful, it’d be irrational. That’s why every change made should cooperate with the formula, guaranteeing gameplay that feels fresh while at the same time feeling like a true Halo game.
> The bar was set so low by Reach that now we should praise them for making a game that’s SOMEWHAT like classic Halo?
>
> I’m pretty sure we want classic Halo, not a Reach/Halo 3 hybrid.
I don’t want the exact same game again. What’s the point in that? It’d just be a graphics update and a map pack then.
This post itself is a problem, causing more problems
This post isnt talking about any positive stuff, your just telling the community they are -Yoink-.
Blind rage? What about blind praise? Wheres the evidence sprint will be good, or how about a progression system will be good? Atleast with criticism, it helps the game by exposing itts flaws.
I also like how people like you say we dont give reasons since we dont write a 5 paragraph essay everytime we respond since they are too lazy to look up the arguments against/for things.

No, I’m trying to address a problem, you’re for letting it continue.
I’m not talking about anything positive because it isn’t a very positive subject. That’s why we need to calm ourselves and make decent discussions. Sometimes people need to be told how ridiculous they are acting.
And what do you mean blind praise? I didn’t say to do that, I was saying discussed the things you liked. I think the new medal/point scoring system is a cool idea. And never did I say Sprint is a good idea, I’m strongly opposed to it.
And simply saying Sprint is bad is not a real discussion. Saying Sprint is bad because it ruins map control, engaging battles, map movement, and fair play is. It’s outright stupid not to provide a reason as to why you want something removed or added.

Did I say they were? No. I said people should also discuss the things that are good. Like the absence of bloom.
How is the point system cool? You dont say anything it can give to gameplay. (although i think it will be cool if it sort of measures ur affect in a game, not the actual score)
“simply saying sprint is bad is not a real discussion” Its stupid to expect someone to write a 5 page essay everytime someone is too lazy to look up the common arguments against sprint. All the time itll be like 10 pages in on a page about why sprint is bad for the game, and some kid will post simply “whats wrong with sprint, its good for the game”…expecting other people to rush him with info when its already been stated. He provides no info, and ignores all arguments.
op i completely agree with you we saw only a small piece of gameplay and people are being whinny -Yoinks!- about it we have no idea what these things will do or how they work who knows they might like it but its amazing how they have nothing good to say i appreciate everything 343 has done for halo 4 but all anyone cares about is hnnnng sprint is bad! omg perks are in halo!! halo 4 is bad im canceling my pre-order!!! things like that piss me off because we have only seen a tiny bit and i like what i see everyone should just appreciate what 343 has done so far and stop complaining about things they know nothing about.
