STOP holding Halo back from change!

Just reading the forums and then the comments of most posts can give you an idea to why there will never be another perfect Halo. No one can agree on anything because everyone has WAY different opinions on what Halo SHOULD BE LIKE. I personally love halo 5. Others of course disagree and go as far to say that it isn’t even what a Halo game should be like… I would love to see them try and make a new perfect Halo. 343 know that they won’t make everyone happy. That’s just a fact of life. With today’s options and what you can achieve within a game means that it will never be a Halo like it was before in the Golden age. Back then they had basic ideas that worked and were AMAZING, but lets be honest, it was good for it’s time but that’s it.

I think people over judge games to the point to which they can’t see anything good about it. I think it also might have something to do with the fact they can’t adapt to change. The game changes a lot because they want ideas flourishing not being stale and overused. The way they make changes to the series might not be where you were wanting it to go but how about you give actual advice and constructive criticism. Hating it and saying it’s trash is just blind hate. Create polls and see what others think of your idea or your criticism so it’s constructive. It’s a GOOD thing Halo is changing. It has to.

In my opinion it’s not our IP, it is Microsofts and they entrust 343 with it, if 343 felt that this was the most fun direction to take it, well I will support them and reserve my judgement for the final product on its own and not compare it to previous Halo’s in “Halo Gameplay” because lets face it every Halo has had radically different feels in its gameplay, to argue against such is stupidity in its extreme, or ignorance. Change is always a good thing even if it is just to experiment with what works and what doesn’t and as every halo has been the gameplay is very polished and seemless, and that is all I can hope for alongside not instantly dying from a Headshot.

The game is fun I enjoyed the campaign thoroughly and thought the story of it all went along really well and kept me wanting to learn more as well as setting it up for the final one in this Reclaimer trilogy. And lets face it, it was far better then the MCC launch.

I agree it was a great step in an interesting direction. MCC had a terrible launch that eventually ruined the potential of what that game could have been like. Bugs ruined what a great idea it was. I think 343 are doing a good job and they are definitely listening to the community.

Some changes just are not working out well, such as the reduced Radar, the reduced shield strength with it not recharging unless you’re staying still or walking.
the RNG req pack is a nice idea for free map packs but when you put the entirety of multiplayer unlocks into a RNG cash cow you take away content from a multiplayer that is already barebones on content. Being able to work and unlock certain armors for achievements was a shining feature for past games that added plenty of MP content to work for other than a lottery ticket.

We maybe fans but this is 343 and microsofts games. Its like fans telling a band how they should make their music.

Change for the sake of change is not always good. There’s a reason Halo 4 was too poorly received. With that said, I like a lot of what Halo 5 has to offer and other things that I don’t like.

Thing is all your complaints are all things they can address in patches  if we criticize the game on faults that are not game breaking like this stupid hate on the ADS system which I thing is pretty neat considering scoping has always been around for Mid Range weapons so what has changed apart from some nice graphics scoping down an AR instead of binoculars? And no splitscreen was warned they could not implement to provide the game they promised. Also another change they could do is up the REQ Point pay out for game modes to even out the random generated-ness of the REQ pack system

But if they never tried Halo 4 would we know that? I mean lets face it, they were some pretty unique changes and I had fun with them and they did add some variance to gameplay mainly in custom games. As always the best of a Halo game is showcased in its Custom games

I understand change for the sake of change isn’t always good. My point was not that we should accept everything they do but to speak out create polls use the community to constructively get the message across. At the moment what people are doing is like trying to stop violence by shooting and bashing the people who are violent. Makes nothing happen except more violent people. The ones who are doing nothing but blast hate are the issue not the game devs.

weapons found in the Req packs are only for Warzone, the other game modes have pickup weapons that are first in first serve

Getting armor from achievements would be a great thing to add. Maybe even bring back some armour from previous titles… not sure if that would be something people want but i could see it working.

From the other perspective, you and those like you are bastardizing a perfectly fine formula for the sake of appealing to an entirely different crowd. I like Halo 5, but you could stand to look at things from other views.

No one is stopping them from playing the old games with the Golden formula they love.
