Loving the game so far but the matchmaking system needs work. Living in Australia I am sick of constantly getting dropped onto servers in Asia with 100ms+ ping or worse, sometimes USA servers with 300ms+ ping. I can get 10ms ping to local servers but I seem to only get these half the time, and the other half it is a game of roulette as to what country in the world I end up on the server of.
I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY ON HIGH PING SERVERS.
PLEASE let us toggle an option to prevent matchmaking onto overseas servers. A simple ādo not join servers over x pingā option would be fine. Iād rather wait a bit longer for a local game than get dumped on an overseas server, and in the event there are no local games Iād rather not play at all. Of course, with such an option the user has the choice or not.
It is a bad, bad system that dumps us on overseas servers where we are at a ping disadvantage. It is not fair to the other players in those matches when I drop the match because it decided to matchmake me to a 300ms server, and it is not fair for me if I stick around and try and actually play at 300ms.
This should be a very easy fix, please make it happen.

Still matching on 100+ ping. Even in <20 ping Australian servers, I am constantly being matched with Americans and Asians. Itās a bad experience for both high ping players and the players playing against high ping players. It makes the game feel terrible.
This post is several weeks old now but on full release, with marketing on overdrive, free on game pass - there is NO EXCUSE for us to be matching overseas at this point! This is the Xbox flag ship game, with parent company Microsoft, how can they drop the ball on such an important aspect of the game.
