Personally, I find this to be a great idea. I know of all the other cod comparisons to multiplayer, but remove your opinion of that for a second and just look at it on its own. I think the name of the mode is contributing to some of the hate, and I think you all need to move past that. For one, it will be four player co-op and just as complex as campaign. It will even be set up like cinematic episodes and contribute to the halo universe plotline. Ultimately this sounds a lot better than spec ops.
Also, we will see 5 new missions per week. I’m an elite subscriber and cod has only put out 2 new missions in months. In one month, you will have pretty much the same amount of missions that MW3 will realease throughout its entire life cycle (including those included on launch). Not to mention that Spartan Ops is free and not used as some scam to make us pay a large subscription fee to DLC. I say Spartan Ops is a win.
True stuff.
I’ve never seen such buffoonery as when people got mad cause of a name.lol
I think most of us really like the idea of Spartan Ops, but I think most of us think the name is a bit poor. Also because it seems that Firefight was scrapped for Spartan Ops it has left a few people feeling a bit let down.
I just wish people would stop comparing Halo to CoD. Frikkin’ IGN.

I agree it’s a shame that firefight is gone, if that holds true. I don’t really think that’s something that takes away from Spartan Ops because perhaps they just didn’t have new ideas to bring to the table in terms of firefight.
I personally preferred ODST firefight because of the sense of survival. Most times I tried playing it in Reach people would vote for arcade and it felt like a 15 minute slaughter fest. If it’s not part of Halo 4, I can only hope they will revive it in Halo 5.
