Stop forcing us to play LSS

How is there coercion? Literally nothing happens if you don’t play the event. So you don’t get the cosmetics associated with the event, whoopee. Challenges are supposed to be a bit tough and not all challenges are going to be fun. You can still play the game, you can even still advance in the battle pass it will just be at a slower pace.

Then don’t play LSS?

Oh if it were oh so simple to do so.

Okay. I am done if you keep ignoring what I say, but then say it yourself, but then pretend it is somehow different.
You:

it will just be at a slower pace.

Me:

Otherwise you will be punished by being unable to continue your battle pass challenges at the same 4 challenge rate, until you do so.

Which withholding something someone enjoys, until they do what you want, is exactly that.

Just because YOU are not bothered by it is irrelevant. It’s crazy I have to even explain this to you: My kid doesn’t like TV… but does that mean I cannot force any kid to do something by taking away their TV time if they don’t do what I want? What you are presenting here is not an argument. They are in fact suffering a consequence, that is literally designed to compel/coerce them to engage with the event. That is force. Force is being applied to them.

Game developers should really concentrate on making games fun. Besides Xbox Live Achievements already supply the challenges why bother have more, unless your game isn’t fun. Is your game fun 343?

There are so many different ways to reward cosmetics besides than setting challenges.

Here’s a novel idea Halo seasons should have been PVE and rewards given for beating boss’ and completing story lines.

Pushing Ranks should be enough in PVP… and clans would generate fun regarding social… if you like that kind a thing.

I hate how I want to say one thing … but then get tempted to thrash a million different ideas.

I’m going back to my hunger thoughts.

Edit:::: I don’t like how 343 thinks that all halo fans only play MLG.

The issue is that our EXP is tied to LSS. I have three challenges at the moment for LSS, and if I want to progress my Pass, I have to play LSS. Part of my enjoyment of a game is progression, seeing the level go up and getting cool rewards. Not playing LSS when my challenges are for it results in a situation where I don’t get any Progression at all (or much, much slower)

This is complicated further that performance is not rewarded at all, so getting mounting back to back kills doesn’t reward you with more EXP. Your performance is basically meaningless for the purposes of levelling up your pass and getting the cool rewards that some of us want. Obviously this isn’t a universal issue, with some people expressing apathy towards the Pass and its rewards, but for those of us who do like the ability to rank up our Pass, getting railroaded into modes that we don’t like is not engaging nor is it fun and made even worse that we’re drip-fed Challenge Swaps instead of being given at least one per day, like every other live service game. If I have Camber Recon challenges, my focus is nowhere close to performance, it’s just getting the matches over and done with as soon as possible so that I don’t have to keep playing Last Spartan Standing for Pass Progression.

Lmaolmaolmao how do you think we felt when we had to play braindead RNG fiesta week after week to progress the event. Don’t play

Here’s the thing though, I was hoping for this to be a like. Solid game. Because that’s how it was presented. Not to be a guinea pig. I don’t want to ‘test’ their game modes if I’m not specifically in a flight/feedback program. I want to play a polished game that people who are actually meaning to be testers and feedback givers have already gone through.

I’m not saying I don’t have fun or I don’t enjoy playing. But if they’re presenting it as a product for the consumption of their wider audience instead of a focused group of playtesters, then I should be able to expect something that’s polished enough to be presented as such.

Well I still say there isn’t “force” if players choose to play stuff they don’t like to progress since there are option even though those options aren’t very good, which is use swaps or wait for the challenges to reset the next week. But whether the opinion is forced or not the fact is this progression system is the worse system ever. The best option IMO is stop playing. They won’t change this system if players are playing. Why more players aren’t playing MCC where all the complaints about infinite are non issues in that game. In MCC you progress in xp in every game and the challenges are bonus and can be done in multiple playlist. You also have a match composer so when you are going for objective challenges you can search strictly objective. If more players would leave infinite for MCC just maybe they will be like hey if we want people playing our cash cow Infinite we better make it more like MCC.

If you want certain cosmetics and all that the game provides, you have to play certain gametypes.

You don’t have to play those gametypes, if you don’t like them, however if you don’t, there is a consequence. You don’t acquire the cosmetics you may like and progression is slowed.

Lets not be silly here, and understand what’s going on. You’ll only be undermining your own intelligence otherwise.

In order to do the above, being “forced” to do so is how it makes some people feel. Seems this is within context, as there is no other way to acquire the cosmetics.

You don’t need the cosmetics, but if you WANT them, you HAVE TO do this. The word choice is just semantics.

Lets also understand that if you do not do these event challenges you cannot work towards the regular battle pass because the challenges are there and block other challenges so in terms you are being forced to do them otherwise it staggers the only progression you get towards the regular season 2 battle pass

Is there some motivation to do well in the game mode? Do we get anything special for winning a match like xp? I wouldn’t know as im horrible at this game.

I’ve bearly touched the challenges and already rank 20 on the new lone wolves season pass… That’s 1/5 done for something that is meant to last 6 months that I’ve completed in 2 weeks…

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2806952196

But not everyone wants 50 xp per gam to get through the battle pass there’s no satisfaction from the couple hundred you get at the start of a day

How much exp I get isn’t really all that important if I’m having a fun match each and every single time playing what I want to play. I also have so many of those exp boosts I actually get around 2500 out of them before the hours up when I use them at the start of a new day.

I should be getting this thing completed within 1-2 months and having fun the entire time. =]

Amen my guy, amen. But if you are a dude who wants to do the battle pass then you have to do the event challenges that require LSS.
