I think many of us have already gotten the point across that the XP cap is not well liked.
I havent hit the xp cap once and thats because I play in moderation and have fun, I am not playing to rank up I am playing to have FUN.
Has the ‘fun’ aspect of gaming been lost in all this rank nonsense?
People like incentive. When you take away that incentive, they are given less incentive to keep playing.
“Fun” can be attributed as an opinion to every individual.
If you continue to play when capped, you miss out on exp from commendations which is a waste…
On another note. i bought the limited edition, thus i want to use the specializations which were an INCENTIVE to PURCHASE the more expensive product. but because of the cap i cant use something i PAID money for. Thats an oversight on 343i’s part imo and screws over people who bought the limited.

Not exactly a useless post I brought up a valid question about “fun” being lost in the ranks nonsense.
I understand the need for a cap, but i do not agree with it at all… It shouldnt be dictated to me how i can play a game… I dont want to continue playing after i hit the cap due to missing out on oommendation exps.
What annoys me the most is that i bought the limited edition… Which as most people know, came with early access to the speciaizations. This was an incentive to many to purchse the more expensive product. Now, having to be level 50 to use them i can appreciate, but then limiting how fast i can get there?
To top it off. “early access” will be granted to everyone who played onlive before the 20th of this month… Knowing that i may aswell of bought the standard edition as my early access really means nothing other than i can already see them in the menu.
Thats why the exp cap is bs… A gamee like CoD has far more boosters (and far more advantages to higher ranks) in halo you have all the weapons <30 in cod you continue to unlokc better weapons right up until max, yet they dont have a cap… Its really not necceserry.
Sure reach had a cap, but it was almost impossible to hit playing legitimately, this one is very easy to reach, even with out DewXP
I can’t beat the Campaign on Legendary because I won’t get the XP.
I can’t do any Commendations because I won’t get the XP.
I can’t do any Challenges because I won’t get the XP.
I’m getting punished for wanting to play. That’s why I hate it.
Let’s not even mention the fact I’ve hit the XP Cap every single day, and I’m a SR44. However, I have a friend that hasn’t hit the XP Cap every single day, and he’s a SR46. The XP Cap varies for every person. That by itself is really making me mad!
Well I have hit the level cap twice and I am only level 37, I also have been playing very lightly. I have also been unable to connect to the halo 4 servers since 5PM GMT today it is 11:57pm GMT and I still cannot reach them, so I end up playing big team slayer and the playlist only has 200-300 players, I also seem to earn less experience and I cannot play my favorite gamemode which is Dominion.

So let me get this straight here, you’re saying that every day you can only earn a certain amount of xp before it caps off and prevents you from leveling?
If so, what’s the exp cap per day?
Also if this is all true, what the hell 343…remove the exp cap then, that’s not fair to players who like to grind it out. There are few who boost in Halo, that’s mainly COD…
