thats right, stop complaining about the latest update and how bad it is. Do you know why? 343 doesn’t care. I can almost guarantee you that at this very moment they are spending more time working on halo 6 than these worthless monthly updates for halo 5. Notice how the biggest part of every update is adding new REQs? That is because the only thing they care about is making money, which is exactly why they are spending more resources on halo 6 right now. 95% of the money halo 5 can make has already been made unless they add new REQs so people buy packs. Therefore, spending time on halo 6 is far more important to them because that is where they have the potential to make the most money. The sooner everyone realizes this the happier everyone will be playing halo 5, or waiting for halo 5 to actually be a complete game.
I don’t think Halo 5 doesn’t mean anything to them. If I put three years of my life into something i’m not just going to move on to the next thing when it’s done and over. We know we are getting some much wanted game types and the gravity hammer next month. I’m sure infection will be right behind it. What gets me that people complain about the content of an update when we’ve known what the content is for weeks.
Just like how they didn’t leave MCC to rot and die right?
the Fact people are still spouting that excuse that they only care about is money is so false and flawed. lets be real people if they did care so much about money they would be charging us $15 a month for this content and $50-$60 for a Season pass. the fact they went from paid DLC to free DLC tells me right there they dont care so much about the money.

You mean how they went in and fixed the horrible issues AND remade ODST and gave it out to people who went through it for free?

You are so brainwashed by 343 that you actually think MCC is fixed?! You are kidding right?

Except that the game is still broken and riddled with bugs if you care to look at the support forums for MCC.

I’m sorry if this will cause you to wake up from your dream, but MCC was never fixed and probably never will be. Much like how glaring H5 issues will never be fixed within the relevant lifespan of the game - such as providing non US players with actual regional servers to play on.

and how would you say the quality of this “Free DLC” compares to the DLC that we would typically pay for? Can you imagine them charging $15 for a DLC that included a pizza weapon skin?

I have to agree. They did steer away from the trend of charging for DLCs and season passes. Some of it has to do with the fact they are making good money off the reqs people buy. But if they were really money hungry making money off reqs wouldn’t matter if they could double their income by charging for DLCs and passes
What other developers do (I.E. Bungie): wait a couple months and have people pay for a portion of cut content and unfinished content (at release)
What 343 does: Wait every month and give us a smaller portion of cut content and unfinished content (at release), but it’s free
So tell me: which developer wants more money?

Its not free, the fact that some dont have to pay for it does not mean its free, it is paid content via Req system.
I rather buy map packs and have a decent amount of content at release rather than have 0 content under the pretense of “Its ok Gaiz! we will eventually add it for “free” Lul!”
I wish people would. I hate when they complain about what came in the update and not being satisfied or about what didn’t come in the update when they tell you exactly what is going to be in the update and what will be in the next updates. Patience is not a virtue in the gaming world. What would you rather have though a game slapped together with a huge amount of content and then be so broke they can’t fix it like MCC or a game that works and they have to release content slowly?

I want a game that have decent amount of content (Not huge) and at least have the same amount of content at RELEASE that prior games of the same franchise had.
But it seems people now don’t care if they have little to no content at release and then be drip fed this “free content” most of which was content that the prior games had at launch.

You’re telling everyone to “stop complaining about the latest update and how bad it is,” but then you go on to talk about the “worthless monthly updates for halo 5.”
Therefore, complaining yourself.
If you don’t like it, then don’t play. No one is making you.

The one that sells you an incomplete game and then trickles in content you already paid for labeled as free DLC to trick the customers into thinking they are still working feverishly on the game. Oh yeah and also the majority of that “free dlc” is stuff you have to unlock via REQ packs which is designed to help people spend more money on their unfinished game.
I am sorry, but in my opinoin paying $15-$30 for actual content on top of the purchase price is much much more desirable than this “free dlc” plan 343 has implemented. Does what Bungie did suck a lot, yeah no question, but I think what 343 is doing sucks more.
But the whole point of this thread isn’t to discuss the nature of teh “free dlc”, it is to discuss how right now 343 industries is devoting more of their resources to halo 6 because they really don’t care that much about halo 5 since there is very little money left to be made off it. On the other hand, halo 6 has hundreds of millions of dollars that it can make. That is the thing I am trying to point out to people.

I agree, these updates suck.
