Stop complaining about non visible ranks!

Seriously… Just stop

Everyone keeps screaming about how there’s no “incentive” to play halo 4 because there’s not a little number next to your name. If you are one of those people, ask yourself this… Say they did have ranks (1 - 50) and after a few days, you get to rank 50, what would do… Make a new account? Sell your account? Or better yet, stop playing? Because according to your flawed logic, once you hit max rank and you can’t go any higher, there’s no longer any “incentive” to play.

If you honestly need a little number beside your name, a number that would literally only be there for bragging rights. Which wouldn’t determine your actual skill. (There were many level 50’s in Halo 3, all of which were actually terrible) Then you shouldn’t play Halo 4. Don’t even bother with it, go play COD. Us people who play Halo for the campaign, the storyline, the content, and the pure enjoyment and fun that is multiplayer will play, and welcome Halo 4 with open arms

I also find it quite funny that the ones complaining are the hardcore gamers, the MLG fanboys, the small percentage of the Halo community. The same ones who would play Halo 3, get a 50 in team slayer, stop playing that playlist, get a 50 in team snipers, stop playing that playlist, etc… Then go into the mlg playlist and be all like “oh, i have 6 50’s look how pro I am, you should worship me n00b”

Stop even mentioning it!

It does not, in any way, help. Regardless of your good intentions, it’s just not worth it.

First please could you explain why you the so called “MAJORITY” even care about what the MINORITY think about ranks Trust me NOBODY is addressing you its the developers were trying to reach. 2nd Why waste your time caring if a person crates a 2nd account to play on or sells their account it doesnt affect you becuz One thing that always worked with ranks was if you didnt belong in that skill level it would either take you up or take you down from your level .So guys who restarted thier accounts would quickly move up and those who bought accounts would quickly move down SOUNDS LOGICAL TO ME .3rd No one gets a level 50 in a few Days its too hard If anything will be done in a few days or 1st 24 hours for that matter it will be campaign. Rank gave people so much and if you don’t understand that than of course you wouldn’t understand why people want it back its logic. Whats not logical is why you even try to address things you dont understand.
Also did it ever occur to you that these competitive players Stopped playing these other playlist after getting a 50 becuz none of them were as enjoyable and competitive as the MLG playlist and Let me address this dumb -Yoink- soundbite that just keeps circulating Not all players who had a 50 in all the playlist went around flaunting it becuz if you were good it wouldnt matter anyway and to be honest i think there were more D riders who worshiped kids who had 50 then people who went around braging about it its not our Fault you CANNOT GET A 50. Rank use to be something that all the good players earned and made Bad players strive to get better in order to get a 50 Thus stretching out the life of the game not free aesthetics and weapon skins (WHOCARES ABOUT HOW PRETTY YOUR GUN IS WHILE KILLING SOMEONE)This is coming from a guy who was bad got into the competitive scene becuz it felt how Halo should have been played and surpassed people who taught me how to play and Honestly H3 gave me more memories than i can count and thats something i honestly cant say for reach. Now it just seems like the thing i worked for in h3 for so long has been cut short just to make the game feel better for Casual players when it shouldn’t have to be dumbed down just for the sake of people not being as good as other players at a VIDEO GAME its kind of annoying.

Threads complaining about complainers are the worst threads in the world, they are absolutely useless.

At least we got things to complain about. You don’t so go away.

So what happened when you reached level 50 in a playlist in Halo 3? Did you stop playing the game? Going by the logic that most people that are complaining have, they should have. Because apparently when there’s no visible rank, there’s NO INCENTIVE to play the game (according to the people who want a visible rank). So when you got to 50, and couldn’t go any higher… wait for it… THERE IS NO LONGER ANY INCENTIVE TO CONTINUE PLAYING

a visible rank is completely useless. There is no need for one. If you want a number beside your name… Take a sharpie and draw one on your screen. A rank means nothing, its your gameplay and actual skill that defines how good you are. Like I said, there were many 50’s in Halo 3 who were terrible. I myself had a 50 in almost all the playlists. Once i hit 50, there was no reason for me to continue playing in that playlist (many people did this). The only exception to this was the mlg playlist and the team snipers playlist (which consisted of all the competitive try-hards)

I didn’t vote, but I choose the other option.

I’m neutral.
