- It’s Warzone, the most casual game in Halo 5. Casual = no one cares about winning/losing.
- People WILL farm kills when given the opportunity, this has been in norm in EVERY BTB objective game since Halo 2.
- Since it’s casual, many people use this opportunity to complete commendations, gain RP, pad their stats, etc while ignoring the objective(s)
Or at least have a dedicated thread, please.
I’ve played alot of Warzone games and I have yet to be farmed. I still don’t know what everyone is complaining about.
It isn’t about winning or losing, not in this case. It’s about solo players unable to enjoy warzone because they keep getting holed up in their bases like hunted animals by sweaty teams who only want to farm them for kills all to unlock a piece of armor they probably won’t even use. Farming kills has always been a thing, yes. It has also always been frowned upon, whether its for stat padding or to unlock something. People get angry whenever one guy just camps with a sniper rifle and never attempts to take the hill in KOTH, and now people are angry because they’re playing Warzone just to get a bunch of kills, in both scenarios people are not playing the game the way it was intended.

If you’re being farmed, the other team is most likely **winning.**I’m pretty sure winning in any fashion is the way the game is intended to be played.

They don’t care about winning. They only care about completing all the commendations as quickly as possible so they can get a piece of armor. Consequently, Halo 5’s designated casual gamemode has become frustratingly competitive and impossible to play without a full team. Is it right for solo players to suffer like this, just so some people can have a piece of armor that most people won’t even be wearing a few months from now?
I was not sure what everyone was talking about, until last week end. Every time I spawned, I was sniped down. When I finally managed to evade him and got into the core, where 3 of the other team just massacred everyone that entered, leaving the core alone. this went on for what seemed like forever until the time ran out. Not a fun game for me. But I wonder how much fun it was for them.

people who are not as good as you want to have fun why ruin it for them because your spartan company sucks in arena.

They aren’t playing to win though. Pay attention to what’s going on in Warzone next time and you’ll see the following happen in a few matches
- A fireteam is made up of members from a Spartan Company that wants Achilles
- The Company will push the other team back into their home base due to lack of communication and coordination from the team of randoms
- When they get to the home base, they don’t try to destroy the kill, they stay outside and kill people to complete company commendations for a -Yoink!- armor set. Whiskey did this and because of this I don’t honor their “earning of Achilles” they simply unlocked the damn thing in a cheap way.
- The game has NO time limit and because of that the only way to end the game is if everyone on a team quits, which is near impossible to do because of JIP, if the Company got what they needed and finally destroys the core, or if someone from the team stuck in home base somehow gets out and captures a base. This is not something you can defend unless you are one of those jerks who does it.
lol someone yesterday posted a video of a spartan company boosting kills. They were just running to this guy and feeding him assassinations. I hope 343 resets their stats.
Whilst people may not care about winning they play for fun and being constantly stomped is far from that. Your reasoning is ridiculous.
I love getting 50 kills and running riots.
Though I wanna go beyond a running riot.

Well in the minds of the players who are doing the stomping, they are the ones having fun. People are mad because they aren’t winning. Deal with it.

actually I do.

That makes no sense. I do all this stuff ( except conscious stad padding) while still playing the main objective. One doesn’t cancel out another, and many commendations are in line with playing the objective. When I want the Binary Rifle Commendation, but I have no binary reqs, I will play some arena and try to get some kills with it, however I won’t sit in one corner waiting for the rifle, I still play the game and additionally try to get some kills with it…Completing personal stuff doesn’t have to do anything with warzone being ‘casual’, and it shouldn’t affect your team in a negative way.

#3 As in they don’t even bother helping their teammates getting bosses. They camp with power weapons. However, yes it still does fall in line with the objectives of the game.
I just look at it as a challenge. Everyone has their own reason for playing the game, be it fun, commendations or a “useless” piece of armor.
I have no problem with losing, but when I spend more time at the respawn screen than actually playing so you and your friends can farm kills by killing me less than 10 seconds after I spawned…I have a problem.

I agree, from what I’ve seen the only people that defend kill farming (which as far as I’m concerned is a form of boosting), spartan charging constantly (not necessarily cheating but it breaks the gameplay and is very cheap), or excessive noob comboing, are the people that do the stuff. Ironically when it happens to them they get upset but as long as they’re doing it they don’t really care.
If its the casual game mode shouldn’t people complain MORE that sweaty tryhards are ruining it? lol

You completely misunderstood what’s going on.
