Crouch shooting has literally been a tactic in Halo since the first game. If anyone played Halo CE on PC years ago, you know what I’m talking about. Halo 2, 3, Reach and 4 were the same way. Complaining about it is almost like complaining about general strafing.

but in seriousness, it doesn’t feel kind of cheap and I think thats why people don’t like it, its like camping people will always complain about it whether its a legitimate strategy or not

Except ya know camping doesn’t take much skill or strategy at all.
The only people who complain are the people who can’t beat them.
I always aim for center mass regardless. If they crouch, its even easier to get a headshot because they crouch right into it with their mouth open.
People who fake out and thrust in random directions are much harder to deal with.

It was bigger at the start of this month I think its the people who spam the crouch button to mess up headshots

My point wasn’t about if it has skill or not my point is that since people think its cheap people will complain about it
How can It throw off aim when the bullet magnetism is so strong anyways.
The type of people who complain about crouch strafing are the same people who want the enemy to run straight at them without shooting back.

Not really. Go ahead and try strafing and crouching at the same time in any of the other halos, you can’t. You have to pause for a moment to crouch. In halo 5 though, you can strafe and crouch at the same time. It doesn’t really bother me though, since I do it a lot.
so i guess crouch strafing, and gandhi hoping are next on the table to complain about? lol
Ghandi hop was effective in Halo 3. Halo 5 not so much.
People I’m dueling try to throw a crouch in their strafe and they just die anyway. (Or get me sometimes, but not due to the crouch) When they crouch it slows their lateral movement and makes it even easier.
In Halo 3 it did not slow down lateral movement and you could crouch in the air… partially why it was effective there.
Where are people complaining?
Did someone smack talk you in game chat is that complaining?
I smack talk every player I drop that does it for this reason. They do not know why they are doing it. They see high level players do it and so the first thing they think about doing when they get into a gun fight is mash the thumb stick button so they crouch up and down up and down while they attempt to try and aim and shoot at the same exact time. Rarely are people decent at this game dying because of the other person crouching I would bet on it.
Know why you are doing it and how to actually use it if you are going to be a scrubble dubble and crouch up and down in gun fights.

As opposed to running around shooting whatever you see or spartan charging? Seems like the same amount of ‘strategy’ to me, if not more.

It doesnt help your aim, just makes you more of a slow moving rabbit. With halo 5 melee, a crouched player is dead.
