No but still my business with it is not yours
$99.99 for 11.500 credits is a slap to the face for how expensive the in game store is
I mean keep in mind too that Halo also has a story people care about so there are other means they could get money through, I mean I wouldn’t mind a story DLC being placed at different intervals of the Halo Universe. And the difference between games like COD and Apex or things like that, is that Halo has a community subsect based on the customization of the games and the appreciation of the designs, I mean look at Wernissage’s whole community. Halo has better potential than games like those to diverge from the market base, I mean as is with Coatings I already had a mark against Infinite’s MP but from how it is set up with the microtransactions with items exclusive to the store, it makes people like me who have a soft loatheing for playing MP, not want to even play the game. I mean as is without being able to get armor to customize and find what looks good, I plan to just not play Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer, just means more campaign for me until a possible turn around in like 2025 or sometime like that.
Either way I say lock this thread too because clearly this is just someone trying to knockdown feedback from people when its geneuine
Then get off the thread you are not helping the Halo community
I agree with locking this thread.
Don’t be coming in here trying to shut down people’s genuine feedback. The live service portion of this game is absolutely terrible and if it wasn’t, there wouldn’t be so many people talking about how badly overpriced it is or how terribly slow it is to progress through a pass they paid for that has the word PREMIUM slapped onto it.
You don’t care, that’s fine. Stay absolutely SILENT then if you’re fine with how things currently are while the REST of us actually use our voices, use our time and tell them how we all really feel about everything and guess what, when GOOD changes are made because of us? You get to sit back and reap the rewards like the rest of your kin who like to come in and try and shut people’s feedback down. You won’t be hurt at all.
There are even obvious issues with Infinite besides the pass and store. Like the fact we can’t choose what game modes we want to play or have the option to disable cross-play. I don’t know about you, but cheaters are growing rampant and I am sick of Oddball.
Lock the thread, please.
Honestly I wouldn’t call them mediocre, just inexpirenced, I mean keep in mind 343 was formed by fans just getting into the industry, along with a handful of veterans from Bungie and Ensemble who wanted to stay under Microsoft’s banner. Halo 4 was the first shot that was done well, Halo Spartan Assualt was likely just a promotion thing, Halo Wars 2 was excellent campaign but mediocre multiplayer, Halo 5 was a crappy campaign and mediocre multiplayer, and Infinite is like Halo Wars 2 in how its shaping up since one of the core aspects that caused the glow is screwed over by how the customization in this game is handled which was likely just corperate meddling like how some of the lackluster parts of Halo Wars 1 itself, if it weren’t for Microsoft, Infinite’s Microtransactions likely would be less terrible since 343 is a company built by fans of Halo and majority of their releases show that passion in their own ways, mostly focusing on story over multiplayer given their track record which I think is better for the long run as all online services will be shut down eventually, its just a matter of when.
no, I won’t, because they’re overpriced even when comparing to industry contemporaries
15 United States Dollars for a rope belt with two sheathed blades that can only be worn on one single armor core, vs 10-12 dollars in fortnite for an entire japanese samurai-sports skin (showdown) that replaces your entire body. In CoD, or Paladins, you can get entire character and weapon skin bundles for the price of a ROPE BELT AND SHEATHED SWORDS.
compared its contemporaries the only game I would argue has worse pricing than infinite is apex.
Obviously there are free to play children on here talking down to adults that have been playing Halo since 2001. We work and is angry about prices and you kids know nothing about slaving for money and being attacked for your money.
the game isn’t going to fail just because people are complaining about a corporation nickel and diming them for a pittance of cosmetic options per-price-point that manages to be more greedy and sparse than any of the competition. you’re not serving any justice, dont act like you alone have to save a flippin megacorp from bankruptcy
You’re part of the problem
Players have the right to complain when the majority, if not all, of the customization aspect of the game is locked behind a paywall. Ok sure, I purchased the Battle Pass, as much of a joke as it is when it comes to progression, because it has a decent amount of gear you can potentially unlock…but £15/$20 for 1 armor set for example?
No, just no
I hope MP becomes buy to play so people like you can’t enjoy it.
I make 165k a year as a contract analyst. $20 !a slin is still stupidly expensive in comparison to everything else. Why the hell would I ever pay 1/3rd the cost of a new game for a random skin. $5 yea sure I can get behind that. They are being greedy corporate shills and I will not buy into that.
Congrats. You’ve shown us you’re a part of the problem. Thanks alot. Glad to know Halo will fall in the same pitfall as any other modern day shooter. Great.
Yeah you entitled gamers, shut up and get nickel and dimed in silence. Pay no mind to the deliberately predatory systems they exploit a person’s additctive tendencies, the sunk cost, and FOMO. Oh and don’t worry about all the ways the game has been changed to accomodate the monetization between the restrictive customization and the random weapon and vehicle spawns that exist to ensure you are always doing your “challenges.” Can’t have any maps with any fixed item layouts if it means someone can’t complete their Mangler challenges on certain maps. Balance? Map Identity? Who needs them?
You need to be working within that monetization framework at all times.
This kind of corporate apologia is deeply embarrassing to witness. There are few entities more entitled than corporate America(and beyond). They must have more profits and have those profits grow at a greater rate at all times no matter the human cost to those who produce or consume their products and regardless of how said product’s quality and value decreases.
A business exists to make money, but it is not entitled to make every last cent possible without restriction. But here we are with corporate bootlickers calling people “entitled” for having the nerve to be upset that they are getting less value on top on the predatory monetization.
Just because greedy corporate monetization is done by X company, doesn’t mean that Y company also needs to follow suit. That’s the problem. People today are so “used” to getting half-baked solutions, or ridiculously priced monetization schemes in games.
Don’t be fooled. Infinite is F2P because it will 100% make more money through cosmetics and store items than it ever would at a $60 price tag. 343 and Microsoft didn’t push this out for free out of the goodness of their hearts, they did it to get at your wallet.
I understand you like that it’s free, and I agree to an extent. But the monetization here and the amount of greed just out in plain sight is absolutely unacceptable, egregious, and shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone.
This post does nothing but hurt players, because next year there will be some other new game, some other release, and players will justify more greedy and anticonsumer tactics because “hey, it’s not so bad, Infinite did that”.
This trend needs to stop, and people like you need to take a step back, look at it for what it is, and stop being a part of the problem.
I hear ya man, I dont understand people complaining about free to play games having extra things to buy.
Valorant has $90 skin packs for only a few guns in there and I always stayed away and only bought some $20 packs.
Im already dropped $50 bones into Halo cause I want some nice skins.
I am a huge Destiny fan and even they had to survive off selling silver for armor ornaments after leaving activision and its the same thing.
People complain because they feel entitled that everything should be in-game when skins don’t add any value besides looks.
I was all aboard this train when games had purchasable things that added an advantage, now I have only seen this in Mobile games where you can get a certain character or item for X amount of dollars but titles like Destiny, Valorant, Gears, Fortnite, shall I go on ? Theres countless titles already out that add Comestic items and no in game advantage that are free to play and cost $60.
Halo is not the first, and it doesnt harm you or the purchaser, just another new title where the complainers come out and then go back to playing the other game they complain about.
Give it time my friend I enjoy they took this approach because I have a way to drop cash towards then ensuring future strong seasons with content and not them cutting hours because they handed a free game with no way to return on their investment especially since the campaign will be free on game pass.
Is this Bill Gates, Phil Spencer’s or Frank O’Connor’s burner account?
Let me shorten this for you
Let them nickel and dime you
You were bold crow. And the “343” defense force thanks you for it.
