Stop complaining about armor pricing

Here is the thing, In halo 5 there was a loot crate system. The crates could be earned or bought, the issues is that guns and vehicles cards (to use in a match) came from these.

343 agreed that it was a bad system… fast forwards to now: you put armor that was earned by leveling or completing achievements behind a paywall and a horrible xp system.

Cosmetics/ making your spartan is a staple of the halo games since halo 3. People have the right to be mad. Not to mention we were supposed to have more options at the start then we do now. On top of that we were lied to about it being more friendly for this type of stuff.

Nah bro. Greedy tactics ruin the experience and we are gunna keep complaining until they address it

Yeah, there should be the same kind of criticism on other platforms too, like Twitter and Youtube. Idk if 343 or Microsoft have a big presence on Twitter, but the message would be seen by much more people, and it could be bad publicity for the game.
Here we don’t have as much people.

Let me guess. You’re a teenager who uses your mother’s credit card to buy silly dances at Fortnite.

You’re not going to win favors by calling people spoiled. Also, why are you trying so hard to defend these practices? They could have made it F2P and still let us customize our colors, for example. Other games have done it.

Also, it’s not that people are spoiled and wanted everything for free. I remember when we used to pay for the full game. I’d do that. Even if it cost more than $60. Also, I’d pay for certain cosmetics, if the game had built on the previous games customization instead of giving us less customization. I’d also pay if I thought prices are fair. But I don’t think they’re fair. If you’re going to try and argue in good faith, stop acting like people want everything for free. Because that isn’t the case for most people I’ve heard talking about this.

Ah, yes, this one is spoiled for playing the original Halo and being a gamer in the days before companies literally started hiring behavioral psychologists to design “game” systems that coerce and manipulate people into excessive spending and impulse purchases…

If that’s being spoiled, sure. Label taken, worn proudly.

They're actually not the lifeblood though... that came from pre-orders I believe. Doesn't really make a difference if a part of it is released early or not when most of the people playing now have already pre-ordered the campaign. However, thanks to the battle pass & mtx, 343 can pretty much double dip a lot off one product now thanks to how monetized the multiplayer is and how the campaign is still 60.

Which I don't really mind to be honest. 10 bucks for the pass until May is great. It's just really really really rough rn with progressing it I think. The rest of the cool skins being locked in a storefront with no way to earn em is a bit dubious though. There's a massive grind for the rest already, so why not just add to it with some really cool looking rewards.

$20 for 1 kit of armor? That’s 1/3 the price of a full game, pair that with the fact that they have enough bundles planned for up for over $1,000, pair all of that with the fact that this is a HALO game in which earning cosmetics was kinda of a big deal and what helped make Halo grand…

I bought the season pass, I have the noble coatings, and yet, they’re selling it in the store again for $7… all because it’s on another core… I get the core system, I can understand why it exist, trying to make the Jorge chassis fit on the Yaroi core would be a pain, and not very pretty, but I shouldn’t need to spend $7 on a skin.

Yes, it’s F2P, I get they need money, the store is fine, the prices in it, not so much, the armor in it, armor that could easily be in the free pass, not so much.

Armor that 343 said, bragged about, would be unlockable, and from day 1, Spartans would have millions of customization options… well, we’re 2 weeks away from day 1, and it’s not looking good.

It just being F2P is not a good enough defense for absurd prices, for content that shouldn’t be paywalled, from a company that used to be great with this sort of thing.

I’m lucky to be here too pal, but it’s not so lucky when I need to remind people that getting less game for your buck, is not good, when marketing that is clearly designed to milk you, is not good.

Unrelated, but I’d know that PFP from anywhere. I grew up playing Shogo. Shame we never got a sequel.

BUT THAT’S THE THING YOU DAFT DUMB GRUNT. good god, Halo back since 2 has been building around COSMETICS making YOUR OWN SPARTAN, since they gave a -Yoink!- about player choice, they cared what the players wanted. look at 3, Reach, and 4. games that cared about player customization, aside from the gameplay and sandbox, THIS IS WHAT HALO IS KNOWN FOR. why do you think people like reach’s campaign so much? oh yeah, TO SEE THERE SPARTAN. they marketed Infinite as a return to form, to alow players to be there spartan, without telling us about the microtransactions because ‘her der, it’s a surprise and they’l buy them’. and ya know, i’d be fine with this if there was a way to earn the ingame currency akin to halo 5. THIS GAME ISN’T COD, IT’S HALO. know the difference, since clearly 343i doesn’t

‘Super Animal Royal’ it’s a free game, with a way to earn the in game currency, made by a small team that’s still updating the game, and the game does have a good amount of players to its name. there are payment for cosmetics, but there is a way to EARN the in game currency and items through PLAYING THE GAME, NOT PAYING THE GAME. also yeah, cod’s microtransactions are terrible, but at least, AT LEAST its BP gave the players decent items for free and the in game currency to potentially get something or save up. (i’m going off of cold war, i know not of vanguard’s stuff, if it even has any)

i don’t at all see that as a good thing. that teaches those dumb grunts how to poorly handle their money, nay their parent’s money. also ‘upper class’ please, like that is even the truth. also also, may i point you to games of old? you know how they made money? WITH DLC AND THE PRICE OF THE GAME, they made equal if not more money just off making a good game and offering a expantion pack with more maps that were fun, and were worthwhile, rather than the color white.

“I feel that we’re lucky that so many upper-class teenagers get to borrow their dads credit card”

You can’t be serious… lmao

Actually, most came from previous Halo titles that weren’t free, and they had choices in those games they now have to pay for, it’s not an appealing transition & it shouldn’t be justified.

Part of the issue is that even if all the cosmetics were free, Infinite would still have a terrible customization system.

I for one didn’t come to this game from an other free to play game, I came as a guy that has played halo fro 20 years, I came as a guy that has always been happy to pay 60 bucks and grind my way to the armor I want to wear. If you don’t see why people would pay 60 bucks instead of over 1000 from the leaked shop items, I don’t know what to tell you man.

Basically saying “I think we are lucky to be poor”

you will not have the stockholm syndrome? only somebody with that problem will defend a company charge you more money.

If the SKins were AMAZING with massive custom options and looking like the GEARS 5 character “Maybe paying 5 USD” will be decent but they are JUST ARMOR SKINS not even a character NAH CHARGE ME 20 USD LOL

You arent fighting to have the game improved, 343 has said the game is being worked on and will be improved. Nobody is telling you no. You arent fighting, you’re beating the -Yoink!- out of an orphan.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up.

I’ll go and tell Sara Stern and the other over-worked game developers to buy digital milk for their children. This solves everything. :+1:
