Stop censoring forums that are talking about their disappointment with the halo 5 multiplayer reveal. This is just completely against free speech and forum rules. All of the locked forums I have seen did not violate any forum rules, they were simply stating their opinions. Despite what your opinions about the reveal are, whether they are good or bad, nobody’s voice deserves to be silenced. Disappointed in the Mods.

In a forum, anyone who runs it can lock anything they want. You use their forum, you abide by their judgement. That’s how it goes. If people criticize what they saw in a away that breaks forum rules,
Free Speech doesn’t apply to internet forums; what is and is not allowed is solely up to the administrators and moderators. And from what I’ve seen, a lot of what is being silenced are the non-constructive posts crying “RIP HALO IS DEAD I HATE U 343” and the like. Civil posts with thoughtful content and observations seem to be largely unaffected.

Exactly, all the hate threads are just mindless incoherent comments, its not helping the forums, and its not helping halo 5. I’m glad they are being taken down.

No offense to them, or particularly you (since you created the topic). Writing a post, saying how bad the game looks without stating reasons why, really isn’t worth the effort. I say delete them.

Saying 343 killed Halo and talking about how people who liked what they saw are paid Microsoft shills and how 343 backstabbed the community with only their personal opinions does not constitute a constructive thread for discussion.

Do you see this? This is an example of an OP in a thread. This is why some threads are getting locked, and this is why the thread with this OP got locked. This is basically spam. It’s not a constructive opinion in the slightest. Some people have already post threads criticizing what was shown of the Halo 5 multiplayer beta, and although some of them have appeared antagonistic to a degree, they were in-depth opinions on it.
This, what I just quoted, does nothing to start any sort of intelligent discussion.

How is it constructive? Where does it say “I feel this change breaks the spirit of what Halo is suppose to be” or anything remotely intelligent? It’s not constructive in the least; it’s garbage. It’s spam. The forum doesn’t need that kind of mindless clutter. Post something with some substance and you should be fine.

Constructive criticism means giving reasons. He didn’t. Simply saying “this is bad” isn’t constructive, but saying “this is bad because [explanation here]” is.

One day, people with too much power are just going to completely remove free speech (tbh they almost have already anyway) simply because they’ll deem the average person too stupid to handle such a responsibility. Thanks largely to feminazis, hacktivists, sjws and all the other people who have too much free time on their hands, they’re probably right… anyway more on topic, every time someone complains about forum mods deleting stuff and quotes their right to free speech, Kim Jong Un kills a baby kitten, true story!
Look, if people truly believe the new features shown in Halo 5 are bad and break the game, surely one could articulate as to WHY they are bad instead of just saying “343 killed Halo” or “343 hates Halo” or “RIP Halo”. Doing that constitutes a constructive post on Waypoint. It isn’t rocket surgery.
