Stop asking them to nerf the ar

I don’t know how people are claiming theyre cross-mapping with the AR. The AR is fine as is, its supposed to be good at close to mid-range. If youre getting cross mapped by the AR on a consistent basis maybe thats a you thing, I havent experienced this phenomenon at all

AR should not be a starter in 4v4. It’s way too strong. There is nothing skillful or fun about a weapon that is point and click.

This happened in Halo 5 because of the overwhelming about of built-in abilities. Infinite has sprint, slide, and clamber which majority of FPS games have nowadays. Tuning the AR down would not make as much of a difference here.

Its literally not even that strong, it leaves you with like 5-8 bullets left in the mag when you’re done

You dont have to NERF the AR to do that. Just encourage Pickups by making them stronger. I for one dont want to use anything else besides the stock weapons in game because I prefer them

with the current AR? yes they do, the Infinite AR is stupidly powerful. Nobody said you couldn’t use it, but it shouldn’t be a brainless spray and pray bullet hose capable of killing at medium and close range with little counterplay.

If it takes 2/3rd of a weapons mag to kill a spartan the weapon isnt overly powerful

Mag size is irrelevant, it has broken range and DPS with a high rate of fire.

Your LOGIC is based around the idea that all Spartans are 100% accurate which is not true. The average spartan is 30%-50% accurate so the DPS and High Rate of Fire argument doesn’t even matter, even with Aim Assist.

That sounds like a you problem, the AR is overpowered and requires little skill to outkill other weapons. You being bad isn’t an excuse.

Wrong, The default weapon being viable makes the game more about actual combat than about rushing to the power weapons; which obviously makes the game more fun for most players.

The AR was always viable, now it’s just broken and is a better option than most pickups. The AR is utterly broken in Infinite and needs nerfed hard.

Why? So you and your 5 other Halo buddies can enjoy the game privately while completely ripping away any casual experience away from the game? I dont think so. (See Halo 5)

CE, 2 and 3 all had a huge casual audience while having a properly balanced AR/SMG. H5 doesn’t count because it wasn’t really a Halo game, it was a twitch shooter with funky movement.

Can you cross-map with he AR? Or do you get cross-mapped often? Im seeing a lot of claims, not a lot of evidence

Both. The AR can easily tap fire and lock down the sidekick. Which isn’t counting the stupidly high power it has at close and medium range.

I honestly have no idea about this. I thought halo was primarily supposed to be a precision based. While it’s okay and it works for the game ITS FUN. I don’t disagree with you. it feels alittle shallow tho? With the way the AR performs it Doesn’t allow for a very large skill gap. How hard is it to just go full auto at most ranges and hold a reticle over someone? That is why BR starts or pistol starts have always existed.

Unless I’m crazy and halo should’ve been this way to begin with… I’m not sure how halo should be played. Like I said, I was under the impression that halo was more a precision shot based FPS. Or atleast that’s how all the game types were set up in the previous games.

It’s fun…but I can see it getting old fast. Unless of course there’s BR or pistol starts and the AR is left completely out of the mode for some modes.

Exactly well said. The AR imo is the most iconic weapon in Halo and for once it’s actually good. I’m annoyed that they nerfed it after the tech tests. Leave the AR alone people!

The AR was always good, it just required skill ( you know, not running around holding RT with no other input )

I actually agree with both sides of the argument. It rlly comes down to how you think the game should be.
