To everyone here complaining about AR starts- AR starts are better for Halo 5 than BR. This is because AR starts encourage you to move around and pick up weapons on the map, while with a BR you don’t need to pick up anything else.
Everyone is saying how BR takes more skill and makes the game so that the best team wins. If you are seriously the best team, you can win with any weapon and pick up weapons. And if you really want just a basic team vs team slayer with no pick-up-weapons, join a tournament. Get a team, join a party, and play a tournament. Because the best “team” doesn’t win if your playing with a bunch of random people.
So your not playing hardcore MLG slayer unless your playing with a team that you are communicating with. And MLG players pick up weapons, and know when and where the BRs spawn on maps, increasing the skill gap.
My little bro is the type to pick up the best weapon he can get his hands on. He is the best sniper I have ever seen, bar none and his favorite weapon is the BR. Despite this, I just had the pleasure of watching him go ham on two separate teams with the Assault Rifle and Magnum with long streaks with the sniper. According to him, AR starts is much funner and there is also a bigger importance on positioning. Not necessarily like map control, but your position to your allies and your enemies. In Br starts, he noticed how little people actually moved. They had little need to use their entire arsenal of tools to beat someone because they already have the best weapon in the game.
I second that. Been playing H2A lately and there’s little reason to pick up other guns asides from explosive weapons and snipers when you start with BRs. It’s like in Counter-Strike if everyone started out with M4s.

There is no spawn-killing in Halo 5, let alone spawn-camping. And if people do that, they would be doing it with an SMG, not an AR. And so you’re the jerk who quits out of matches all the time. But why do you even play if every game is AR starts?

and i did not play the beta during week one at all. only played week 2

Balanced? Of course not, thats the reason we want AR starts.
Where does fairness come into play?? Sure, at long range it hits inconsistently, but thats because it was NEVER designed to be used at that range. In fact, if you get killed by a AR at long range, that is YOUR poor judgment, not him being lucky. Close range it hits VERY consistently. Its by no means random like people are making it out to be.
Why are people so content with making this game stale??
“We don’t need other weapons, we like the one gun game.” WHY?? All you are doing EVERY game is four shotting. STOP acting like this is the pinnacle of skill. This is merely the standard. There is not a single person who plays this game who CAN’T 4 shot consistently. At the same time, it is also the highest level of skill you deliver with a BR by ITSELF. You already hit the skill cap. You cannot improve further. The end. Game over. Grenades and Melees only make it EASIER from here on. The game is actually HARDER, more challenging and has a ton of depth when you have to WORK for your weapons. Get your head out of your -Yoink-.
Seriously, the game got boring, so I chose to start using solely the AR to make it harder on myself all during BR/AR
4 shotting is easy and boring to do 20+ times a game. You are not MLG. Shut up and just let people -Yoinking!- play.
