Stop acting childish and move on!

Allright 343i did a bad update, we all agree with that, but filling the whole Halo: Reach forums with the same type of complain wont help, Just keep all the dam complains in one thread.

We have gotten the point, we all know that you guys dont like the update, making more threads with same complains WILL NOT help. Time to move on.

All you can do is to hold your thumbs and hope that 343i brings back ff double, action sack, and the DLC playlists.

Good luck, have fun.

Some probably find it therapeutic to post their ire. You know get it off your chest and let out all that steam.

So you are saying to keep our mouth shut, our hand in our pockets and then wait for god to solve our problems? Lol, I hope people will complain until they drive them nuts,so they return back those playlists. Do we live in Communism so we can’t express our opinion? I don’t think so…

Unless you work for 343, and are working on an emergency update to fix things, this is just another complaint thread.

Everyone is certainly free to express their opinions on the matter, positive or negative.

All we ask is that you not spam the forums with topic after topic, regardless of what you think, all those extra topics are not helping your cause. What helps your cause is to state your claim in a constructive, intelligible manner. You’re free to speak against anything here, just don’t be hateful or disrespectful.

Also with these things you sometimes have to realize updates take time. So first thing’s first, let’s imagine due to this outcry 343 decided to update Reach to appease the masses. It will take awhile, they’re going full throttle on Halo 4 right now. Aside from finishing Halo 4, monitoring after release, and addressing any issues, they have to actually work on the update for Reach, it’s not as simple as pushing a button.

Just be courteous throughout these things, when they have to announce this stuff, it impacts them as much as it does you. Think about it, the recent changes are something that some people hate, they had to announce this thinking “oh God, what if they hate it?” That’s a risk they have to take every day.

I don’t know, but Firefight has always had some nasty lag issues with Reach. With doubles gone, that going to be really a painful experience for some trying to meet those firefight weeklies while also trying to have fun in the process. When it’s four players in firefight you run a 50/50 on coming away with a positive experience.

I agree, but you see, many present their arguments in a constructive way then a moderator comes in a replies: Learn to live with it,or the population was low, WHO CARES some don’t even have the dlc’s so they wouldn’t care less. And then many users get more angry, because this is something that was paid, not offered for free. I NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT ANYTHING BUT THE REMOVAL OF the DLC PLAYLISTS, never, not about the bloom, or any other gametype. I actually haven’t come to this forum for about 2 year, since I was satisfied with everything 343 offered. I’s a shame I had to come back to complain… I still cannot believe that they removed it.

so you would rather flood forums with 343 halo 4 promos when thay just robbed us is this a 343 forum or a player forum?

I want DLC back. I will say it on every thread if I have to.

Who are you to tell people what will and won’t help? Who are you to tell people where they should express their opinions?

I paid for Reach. In fact, for reasons I won’t get into I’ve purchased more copies than most. I pay for my Xbox live subscription. On a regular basis 343 gives me the shaft on something and I will say so in as many threads as suits me. This update was worst in Reach’s history. A complete disaster in my opinion. If you don’t want to read the complaints it generated don’t read them.

I’m pretty sure a hundred threads get more attention than one. Like I said in MY thread, this update was a kick in the sack to all Halo: CEA owners. They have ONE PLAYLIST for matchmaking. ONE. -Yoink- that.

I hate 4-person Firefight. In Doubles my goal is to stay alive and kill vehicles (Perfectionist and Grounded are the last two commendations I need to Onyx), and to make it to the bonus round, which feels like an accomplishment when that happens.

In 4-person Firefight my goal is to kill enemies before my teammates can kill all of them, I’m lucky if I can kill any vehicles, and bonus rounds are guaranteed unless people are just goofing off or everyone has a sniper.

If 343 didn’t want me to spend less time playing Reach they could have just said so.

Screw you, 343.

I JUST bought the Noble pack (and had to rebuy the defiant map pack because Reach didnt think I had the file DLed when I clearly did) and now I cant play them!

You’re going to learn VERY fast that people are loyal to Halo and Bungie, NOT you. We wont hesitate to call you out on your -Yoink-, and we’re not gonna settle for dumb decisions like this.

> Everyone is certainly free to express their opinions on the matter, positive or negative. All we ask is that you not spam the forums with topic after topic

The best way to prevent that is to not implement really bad decisions that tick off your customer base.

> regardless of what you think, all those extra topics are not helping your cause. What helps your cause is to state your claim in a constructive, intelligible manner. You’re free to speak against anything here, just don’t be hateful or disrespectful.

I’m kind of stunned that we have to say anything at all. We paid for DLC, we should be able to play it on demand. How much explanation does that need? I thought it was pretty obvious?

If they have limited resources for this kind of thing maybe they shouldn’t waste them making things worse. I’m not interested in whining about how hard 343 has it and how busy they are. This isn’t personal, this is business. I paid for Reach. I want to play Firefight Doubles and I want to be able to play the DLC I purchased. Ideally I’d like an Action Sack playlist that has better games than the one they removed. (I actually played the Halo 3 Action Sack recently because it’s so much better than Reach’s.)

You might want to think about how it sounds to people to say, “We don’t have the resources to make you happy with what you’ve bought because we’re working on something we want to sell you.”

343i is a division of Microsoft. If they don’t have enough people to provide a good experience for their customers they should hire more people. Remember, ticking off Reach users isn’t going to help you sell more copies of Halo 4, and don’t even think about expecting me to buy any more DLC from you people, not after what you’ve done with DLC in Reach.

I wouldn’t say that everyone hates the update, I personally like the update, but it would be nice to see people stop complaining about everything.

and while u continue your charade, thousands of people as we speak continue to play Reach and will play halo 4.

Nonsense.

> Think about it, the recent changes are something that some people hate, they had to announce this thinking “oh God, what if they hate it?” That’s a risk they have to take every day.

As “impact” goes this is insignificant unless their pay gets docked when they do something people don’t like, which I find highly unlikely.

I know a lot of people who post here are kids, but I’m not a kid. In fact, I own my own business. If I did something that upset a lot of my customers I wouldn’t even think about saying, “But what about me? It impacted me as much as it did you because I worried you’d hate it!”

You shouldn’t think about saying it either. It sounds ridiculous. They messed up. Let them take the heat for it and fix it. No more whining.

> I agree, but you see, many present their arguments in a constructive way then a moderator comes in a replies: Learn to live with it,or the population was low, WHO CARES some don’t even have the dlc’s so they wouldn’t care less.

Bear in mind that when we moderators post about Matchmaking, we’re (usually) just posting our opinions or our speculation, just like many of you guys who post here. We don’t run Matchmaking, and we don’t generally communicate with the people that do. (I don’t even know who any of them are!) So when we post about Matchmaking, don’t automatically take it as an official response from 343i. :\

> 343i is a division of Microsoft. If they don’t have enough people to provide a good experience for their customers they should hire more people.

As of this year, 343 Industries has roughly 250. For comparison purposes, Bungie had about 200 employees in 2011, and as of this year, Valve has 293.

They’re not undermanned, they’re overworked.

> and while u continue your charade, thousands of people as we speak continue to play Reach and will play halo 4.

Do you even know what the word “charade” means?

In any case, if this has any effect on how many people play Reach, play Halo 4, or buy Halo 4 new when it comes out, it will reduce those numbers. If 343i ever releases DLC this will reduce the number of people who buy it. Bottom line: This is not a win for 343i.

That’s like saying “It’s not that I’m fat, it’s that my pants are too small.”

I can’t think of any reason they need Halo 4 people doing anything to Reach. They could hire people who are only responsible for Reach and Halo 3, a “legacy” department, so to speak. That would be better for us and for the people who are working on Halo 4. As a business owner myself I certainly understand that as a business they want to keep their costs down, but that the same time I know it’s important to keep your customer base happy.

Frankly I can’t see how they justified this playlist update. It might speed matching up a tiny bit, but it seems like that small benefit is more than offset by upsetting people who don’t like the changes. No set of playlists is perfect or will make everyone happy, but I just can’t see why they thought this change would be a net improvement.
