The best way to prevent that is to not implement really bad decisions that tick off your customer base.

I’m kind of stunned that we have to say anything at all. We paid for DLC, we should be able to play it on demand. How much explanation does that need? I thought it was pretty obvious?
> Also with these things you sometimes have to realize updates take time. So first thing’s first, let’s imagine due to this outcry 343 decided to update Reach to appease the masses. It will take awhile, they’re going full throttle on Halo 4 right now. Aside from finishing Halo 4, monitoring after release, and addressing any issues, they have to actually work on the update for Reach, it’s not as simple as pushing a button.
If they have limited resources for this kind of thing maybe they shouldn’t waste them making things worse. I’m not interested in whining about how hard 343 has it and how busy they are. This isn’t personal, this is business. I paid for Reach. I want to play Firefight Doubles and I want to be able to play the DLC I purchased. Ideally I’d like an Action Sack playlist that has better games than the one they removed. (I actually played the Halo 3 Action Sack recently because it’s so much better than Reach’s.)
You might want to think about how it sounds to people to say, “We don’t have the resources to make you happy with what you’ve bought because we’re working on something we want to sell you.”
343i is a division of Microsoft. If they don’t have enough people to provide a good experience for their customers they should hire more people. Remember, ticking off Reach users isn’t going to help you sell more copies of Halo 4, and don’t even think about expecting me to buy any more DLC from you people, not after what you’ve done with DLC in Reach.
