After reading every last word of the GI spread, I can honestly say this is the most excited I have been for Halo 4.
The campaign setup and the tie in with multiplayer and spartan ops has my inner fanboy all flustered and frantic!
Now, the most controversial topic is of course multplayer. I’ll be honest, at first I was disheartened when I heard the leaked info. But considering we don’t know the full details yet, and after Frankie’s comment about some things being taken slightly out of context, I’m sure it isn’t as “bad” as a lot people think.
Hell! even If it is, it won’t stay that way for long. After a -Yoink- storm this big, tweaks and adjustments are bound to be made. (That’s what forums like this are for- Feedback and community interaction)
As far as multiplayer goes I suppose it would be better have some more solid info before we can draw some definitve conclusions. But I look at it this way: We’ll all still run around with BRs 4 shotting each other. (or in my case 9 shotting!) Sure things may be a little more hectic, and not quite as predictable, but hey… at least there’s no bloom!

Wow someone whos livelihood depends on the publics perception of this game said something positive about his own business? I’m shocked!
people need to stop being like “hey it could be worse guys!” or “Im sure we can customize it” people need to stop settling for this crap. Dont just sit backand accept this stuff, I want a halo that is halo and that im satisfied with, not this garbage cod hybrid stuff.

Thanks for the input there buddy!
All I was saying, (incase you misunderstood) was that along with the fact that we don’t know everything, the Mp probably is as bad a people are making out to be.
I did Not say, as I perceive you to be insinuating…
" Halo 4 iz gunna hav teh best mp evar cuz frankie sed so, I <3 frankie xxxxxx"

Go to hell.
We don’t need your kind of immaturity in this world. He likes the changes. halo is many things to many people. I know people who think halo’s gameplay is -Yoink- and only play it for forge. HE likes it. its HIS opinion. Halo isnt only multiplayer. I myself, and VERY excited for campaign and Spartan Ops (despite its terrible name)

There’s your problem.
I didn’t say I liked the mp changes, go back and read the op. I said that due to the feedback/ criticism 343 are getting, I’m confident that they will backpedal and give us something more reasonable, they would have to be blind and deaf to not see what the cough “community” wants. Maybe it was because I was neither enraged nor In tears that you misunderstood.

you must be one of the casuals that play living dead and only vote for AR in slayer.
I’m stoked for the awesome amount of story-related content coming in both campaign and co-op, but I’m not looking forward to the multiplayer too much. Looks like CoD, but with weaker weapons, and abilities.

I’m intrigued as to what will be clarified in the next podcast, surely they can’t just tell us “more on that sometime in the near future” again.
I’m excited too but in all honesty, people need to stop being so aggressive and rash, accept the game for what it is… Halo IS NOT CoD AND NEVER WILL BE…

People may draw similarities, and it’s hard to deny successful franchises take inspiration from their competitors. The lines between inovation and imitation get very blurred here, as well as the motives behind them, but trying to turn Halo into CoD to attract its fans doesnt make sense.
As you say “Halo is not CoD, and never will be”, and for that reason it isn’t going to siphon CoD’s player towards Halo, as they would surely prefer to play the original.

No that’s fine, I just think what we have now, ie a huge retrend of the Covenant being enemies, seems pretty odd.

I was slightly bemused when it was confirmed the covenant would be returning, but from what I’ve read, I dont think there will be too much conflict with them.
If I remember correctly, the sequel to glasslands should arrive before Halo 4. That will most likely set straight the intentions of the covenant, or what is left of it.

I think the how everyone thought that a stellar empire that has lasted for millenia would go away with the death of 3 dudes(even if they are important) is not very…realistic. New leaders will always raise to seize the sudden power vacuum. And I doubt if a significantly large enough portion still feels humanity as an affront they’ll get back in the game ASAP. Hell the Elites were pretty close to a civil war over what to do, peace or back to war. I would think the Elites that wanted war took control of the hierarchy of the Covenant and are starting skirmishs preparing to reignite the war. Would explain the sudden need for Spartan 4s.
