Stockpile, seed exploits, and an agonizing 30 minute match

I just finished a game on deadlock where someone(s) threw half the seeds into the AA gun, leaving exactly 5 on the map.

(I’d like to provide screenshots for context, but somehow having a waypoint account for 14 years means I’m still a new user and I’m not allowed to include links or upload screenshots.)

This needs to be fixed.

We spent nearly the entire game stealing seeds back and forth from each other because both teams needed to literally empty out the enemy base in order to fill their own. This was painfully, mind-numbingly tedious and it lasted until enough of our team quit that the enemy could just stroll into our base.

Also, more and more tanks kept spawning as the sudden death stretched on. We had 2 wraiths and 2 scorpions in a row.

Sidenote: does planting grenades not destroy the tank any more? I had 2 grenades planted in my wraith and survived. I planted a grenade in an enemy scorpion and nothing seemed to happen.

As tedious as that sounds, I can’t help but be impressed with the trolling. Game recognise game I suppose.

Also I completely agree about the new Waypoint system, idk why they had to remove all previous stats.

Yeah that needs to be fixed but it is somewhat hilarious.

RIP anyone that used a double exp prior to loading into that game.

So it seems like they should just add some rule such that if a power seed has been moved from its spawn location but hasn’t been touched in one minute, then it de-spawns. If all of the power seeds are installed at bases or de-spawned, then new ones should should be dropped into the map.

The worst part about that game mode is the seeds don’t respawn from player hands when a side hits 5 so that team can immediately bank another 3 to 4 seeds.

I like the mode in concept but they very much need to tweak how the seeds function
