Stockpile gamemode needs some rework in my opinnion

I just had a 5:27 long match of stockpile where my team got absolutely destroyed. The powercores spawned closer to our enemies’ base every time and this keeps happening on every map. Especially the first spawn should be equally far away from both bases because now our enemies started moving the powercores before we even had a line of sight to them, which is just plain unfair and not fun. Additionally, I feel like the powercores should be scattered around the map rather than spawning in one big pile, or at least in smaller piles around the map.

I also feel like teammates not playing the objective is especially game ruining in stockpile. I’m not sure if it’s the lack of custom playlists forcing players to play gamemodes they don’t enjoy or are they trying to get challenges done and that’s why they are ignoring the objective, but there should be more incentives to play the objective and letting people choose which gamemodes they want to play.

Agreed. Another idea I had to help prevent snowball was to have all the non-scored cores disappear when a team gets a point.

I kind of think this game mode would be better suited if it were turn based with two round each of of defense and offense. At least for BTB.

Maybe there could be a capture counter like Assault’s arming mechanic that gives the enemy more time to steal the cores.
