So, I find myself still coming back to play Reach because it feels very Spartan. In Halo 4 the graphics are superb, bit it feels very “Everything Else.” Seriously, no more Mark V helmet (I prefer this over MKVI), no more ODST helmet (as well as others) and the Commando helmet has been turned into something ridiculous and horrid (something Killzone). With the armor I see running around out there, and in the lobbies, I feel like I’m in the most confusing universe, I forget what I’m playing because things feel like something out of Dead Space (referring to about 2-3 different helmets), Star Wars (Republic Commando/ Storm Trooper), Killzone (Look at the EOD - I mean, Helgast Helmet…there are others like this too), Samurai/ Ninja etc. etc. Microsoft had a unique feel/ look with the Spartans as they were between Halo 1 to Halo Reach (ignoring the Hyabusa armor) instead, now we have freakin idiots out there running around with Unicorn/ Peacock helmets on or looking like something out of Metal Gear Solid or some of what I have listed above. Previously, Halo differentiated iself from some of those other themes and had a more realistic armor/ helmet setup that one would use out in the field, with a realistic field of view…I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing the Warrior helmet that automatically transforms one’s head into Optimus Prime. For instance.
Yes…because flaming heads, kids screaming yay with confetti, and flying hearts is really Spartan-like.

I almost have 200,000 cR in my wallet and I was thinking about the confetti…until now.

I liked confetti, that is, before I got inclement weather.
Lol, Reach is much more gritty and serious looking game, yet it has silly armor effects.
H4 looks a lot more happy, and you can’t use armor effects. Weird.
Anyway, yeah, Reach had some seriously good designs for a lot of things.
I agree with the OP.
Reach Armor wins hands down - I would love to be able to port my ODST-armored Spartan over to H4.
And, by the way, my emblem too.
I was just playing Reach the other day and lamented about how cruddy the H4 armor is in comparison.
All the H4 armor looks so… weird. They don’t look like Spartans. The Reach armor was the basic design slightly modified in various ways. Sure, some looked really similar (CQB, Military Police, etc.) but it all looked good. Halo 4 has some armors that look God awful.
And they made the E.V.A. helmet look weird in H4. It looks more egg-shaped than round
Although I will 100% agree that halo reach’s armor looks far better than halo 4’s over designed garbage micheal bay transformers look I like halo 4 in the fact that you feel alot more like an actual spartan on the UNSC INFINITY as spartan ops and war games are tied together well although Halo 4 should have more virtual reality in the menus (like choosing war games is done by going to a simulator and spartan ops is done by going to a pelican) but still halo reach has better looking armor while halo 4 armor looks clunky and over designed
I agree
the halo 4 armor makes you look like an alien out of a cheesy si-fi movie
the reach armor seems like it fits more towards soldiers and a war
Halo 4 - Power Rangers
Reach - UNSC Spartans
