Still only one biome

I know it wasn’t a indepth campaign demo, but it makes me sad the campaign still looks like its just going to be the second level of CE the whole time. Even the multiplayer maps look like they are in the same locale.

Reach had a somewhat limited biome but its maps still look distinct from a glance. Whereas it looks like if i just spun my camera 360 degrees i could see almost every halo infinite screenshot.

I’m hoping there’s much more we haven’t seen. I’d love a snow and desert area. Maybe a marsh, and a tropical group of islands too!

They’ve said the primary biome of the campaign is Pacific Northwest, with sub-biomes.

True, the pacific northwest does have more variety than we’ve been shown. Look here’s a desert, and here’s some snow. Also it sadly looks like multiplayer is in the same boat.

There’s some maps that are in some facilities and costal areas, 1 map that looks alot like Old Mombasa.

You literally have MP maps with sand and palm trees. If it’s not one thing, its another. Have faith. Trust the system.

Here’s a thought. Perhaps they’re compartmentalizing Infinite. The base game is this PNW section of Zeta Halo and as seasons/DLCs progress, we’ll explore more of the ring which will have different biomes. You guys seem to think you’re playing on a Minecraft server or something. Maybe the reason for lack of sand/snow/whatever the hell you want is because they’re trying to implement things like foot prints, tire/track marks, or stuff like that. I think in the grand scheme of things, if your biggest worry is what is on the ground, the game is pretty solid.

Other Halo games were able to have different levels set in different biomes. I get the love 343 has for the PNW, but they have a whole ring to use and having to wait for Season 4 or whatever to play missions somewhere that isn’t just a forest is pretty disappointing. Especially since previous Halo games were able to show off different environments without any problems.

I’m not sure if it’s still relevant since it was so long ago, but the initial announcement back in 2018 featured a desert scene.
Granted, in the three years since we haven’t seen it reappear but we honestly haven’t seen a whole lot of Infinite at all.

Personally I think they’re intentionally keeping the focus on this singular biome. Whether it’s because the others will come later or they just don’t want to reveal too much, they might even be just keeping it simple because they want you to experience everything when you play it rather than get it from some screenshot or small clip.

In the new semi-trailer… doesn’t Chief drift through space until he goes through the shield door of a ship. Gravity kicks and he lands on his feet…

Bam. Another biome!
