So even now I still don’t see any proper adjustment done about weapons that despawn way too fast. This has been a major issue since it was first told about, why hasn’t 343 fixed his yet.
I hate whenever I get killed and to back to pick up my dropped weapon it’s never there. It upsets me that 343 hasn’t fixed this.
This is a console issue as the Xbox can’t handle weapons not despawning without frame rate loss. In a way, it kind of is a little bit tactical by having your team mates by you to have your power weapon if you die. However, this can get annoying for stuff like Spartan Ops
So you saying with halo 4 and it pushing the system to its limits it can’t handle the amount of players that drop their weapons? Reach did pretty good and I think it actually had better graphics hands down. Well either way I hope this crap is fixed in the next game.
The amount of power it takes to render a few weapons on the ground is very insignificant. Why are so many people so quick to assume that any given quirk in a game is due to the Xbox 360’s outdated hardware? No one cared about the Xbox 360’s specs until the Xbox One was announced in May.
343i has said that the reason that the weapons despawn so quickly is because they appear more often with Personal and Random Ordnance. If the weapons despawned at the rate of previous Halo games, the game would be even more filled with power weapons than it already is.

Thanks for that up for me man, well that’s every reason to removed personal ordnance and load outs and random ordnance.
The dominance of 1SK weapons means that there is always a selection of weapons on the ground to scavenge from. And in the case of those 1SK weapons, I don’t mind them disappearing so quickly.
The Rapid de-spawn also affect Campaign and Spartan Ops too.
All you have to do is drop a weapon, turn around walk 10 feet / 3 meters, wait about 15 seconds, turn around, walk back and the weapon you dropped is gone.
So I do not buy the excuse that this clutters up the game - especially for Campaign or Spartan Ops.

I don’t have problem with the loadouts but AA’s are another story. They need to make camo a map pickup, jetpack needs to go back to reach and stay there I wanna be able to REMEMBER Reach and the jetpack not complain about it in future titles. Provision isn’t that bad but it can be annoying sometimes.
The game is pushing the console to its limits. Sacrifices had to be made. This is not a huge issue since we have ordnance drops. Also to the person above me, 3 AAs do not encompass all seven or eight of them. You don’t hate all AAs if only 2 or 3 of them is bad when the rest are fine. It makes no sense. Just saying.
I had Snipe on Solace yesterday in CTF, I got killed by a Jetpacker but he was killed shortly after by my friend who had the iCannon. I spawn, take the jump up and look and it’s GONE! This was probably a grand total of 10 seconds, and it disappeared…
Solace is a small map too, don’t even get me started on the bigger maps where you have a 0% chance of ever getting your weapon back before it disappears.

> Might as well be a “glass is half full, not empty” kind of person over matters out of your control.
…I don’t care that it’s “fair” because it happens to both parties, the fact remains that weapons despawning that fast is just stupid for Halo. If their reasoning is “There would be too many weapons with Personal Ordnance”, than why is it like that in CTF where there is no Personal Ordnance?
They really need to fix this, it is annoying as hell.
