Still not convinced, but want to be...

Ever since I tried the beta, I have been hesitant in buying halo 5 guardians. The multiplayer may have been amazing for some, but it swayed me in the opposite direction with just how everything was presented. Sure its a beta and things can change but I haven’t seen much change multiplayer wise through the blogs and videos released. While warzone looks somewhat interesting, it still hasn’t been enough for me to truly want this halo. But I do want to “want” this halo…like every other halo released beforehand. Campaign seems to be the only thing that is keeping me interested, and of course I will try the multiplayer when it comes out…but I’m just not sure.

Do you guys think the multiplayer will be different than what was presented in the beta?

It will be like the beta, just much more polished and refined gameplay. However, you’re being quite broad. Would you mind giving me specific things that concerned you?

Either buy the game, or not. Watch the videos. We are not here to convince you to play. It’s not our job.

For me, the beta felt like a fraction of what we get in the completed game.

I mean just seeing competitive makes a full return in this new form… It made me fly off the chair in excitement!

Warzone? Without a doubt the coolest mode ever within the entire gaming world as it is! I had my doubts on Halo 5 when i first heard things they did… Then the beta came and pushed me back into hype-shape.

It’s hard to say for me when i haven’t gotten the full game as to what has improved and what not but there’s alot more content now. The beta was mostly TDM and that new king of the hill/territories thing.

I mean just watching RUL’s video has me too excited for my own good! Surely the multiplayer will at its core be the same but just better then what the beta gave us!

I was in the same position as you OP. The MP really didn’t do it for me and Warzone sounds very interesting, so I wasn’t even gonna buy the game. But the Campaign looks great to me, so I’m just gonna wait maybe a week or two after launch and buy it used.

I’d say if you’re into the story it will probably be worth the buy, but if you’re hesitant nonetheless, just wait for reviews.

Campaign alone makes this worth buying for me.

Things such as Spartans shouting weapon spawns and pick ups, the strengths and weak feelings of certain Weapons, armor customization, the way weapons zoom in now among a few other things. I didnt think the beta was horrible but it wasn’t great.

That’s pretty much the reason I’m still going to buy the game

Yea the campaign looks brilliant in every way I’ve seen so far. I’m hyped that Blue Team is in it since I’m a huge fan of the novels

If you read the last sentence then perhaps you would realize that I just asked if there were any notable changes they stated from the beta. The title merely reflects my current view and hype for the game.

Please post constructive responses next time, thank you.

Same here. That reveal was actually what convinced me to buy it.

What is the RUL video? Is there a link I could have to watch it?

Also due to the fact that Buck is making an appearance is appreciated. He was my favorite character in ODST and it is good to see 343 bringing back characters from the older Halos and not just forgetting about them.

Actually I know what you mean. I played the beta, and I enjoyed it for the most part (minus the new zoom look and the sound FX for a lot of the weapons) but can’t help but have this semi sinking feeling just like I did for TMCC before it came out (Was right there…) but i’m trying to stay hyped and positive. I’m getting Halo 5 day 1 and hoping I wont be let down this time.

Warzone as of now, doesn’t interest me much at all, but arena does if they have in game ranks again, which they say they do. I’m not sure how well the campaign will be, as in the actual gameplay, but I think the story and CGI will be amazing.

Here’s my 2 cents. Spartan call outs (imo) liven up the game a lot, and can actually give somewhat useful info from time to time. Nice for when your playing with strangers. Also, the call outs are much less common than they were in the beta, as people said they could become an annoyance. So if you watch more recent gameplay, spartans talk rarely rather than every 10 seconds in the beta. As for weapon balancing, that’s the kinda thing the beta was for. Fine tuning the whole thing. For example, they modified the DMR and sniper scopes to make them more responsive, they nerfed the SMGs range, they gave the AR 4 more bullets, they completely changed the magnum to make it more like the CE pistol in terms of damage, etc. Point is, I think that 343 has done a great job listening to feedback, and the final game will be better because of it. Armor customization is limited to visors, helmets, and chest pieces. However, it’s a good trade off. Because they don’t have to spend time making dozens of individual shoulder pads, they can instead use that time to make an absurd amount of armor SETS. If you haven’t seen it, check out 17k gaming’s customization video. Halo 5 will launch with over 175 armor sets, nearly 49 visors, not to mention 17 custom assassinations, with more being added post launch for free. Idk about you, but I’ll take 175 unique sets over 50 fully customizable sets. So you lose the great customization options from reach, but you gain TONS of new helmets and chest pieces and such, so I think the trade off is worth it. As for smart scope, I wouldnt worry about it. It doesn’t function like ADS in any other FPS games. It’s still uniquely halo, just a different animation is all. Plus, it actually makes things like assault rifles useful rather than making every game a huge DMR/BR fest. In past games, the AR was always gotten rid of as soon as possible because it wasn’t a good multipurpose weapon. Now, it has an actual purpose. So in conclusion, I think that the final game will be more enjoyable than the beta. I hope you pick it up. (Sorry if there’s lots of bad grammar, i typed this on my phone)

No one here can convince you only you can. If you’re hesitant to buy it then wait a couple of months and watch videos about it or try a demo of it if there is one out until you make your own decision. If you decide not to buy it then stick with that decision and not buy it. The only one that convince you is you and that’s how it should be.

Here is his channel. It’s full of all sorts of videos with Halo 5 from E3 till now. Gameplay, commentaries and so on plus more. Give them a view my friend! They keep my hype flowing

Its fine I’m on my phone as well. From what I read from your post it does sound like there have been major changes for the better so I’ll still go into multiplayer with open arms and a positive attitude. Thanks for the info too!

I didn’t care much for the beta since it played too much like Halo 4 which I didn’t like much, probably one of the worst Halo multiplayer beta’s so far. Not sure why some claimed it to be amazing but maybe it’s best to ignore the multiplayer and just focus on the campaign. Most beta’s are never much different from the main game and are only usually used to make sure the game works fairly well over servers so I highly doubt it will change much.
