I’m still waiting for some word on campaign crashes and disconnects, especially prominent when playing co-op. I really want to continue doing LASO with my friend, but hese crashes after 1 1/2 hours+ are unacceptable. It basically makes LASO unplayable since it tends to take a long time for just one mission.
There was nothing at all about this on the 5.1 Community Update blog. Can anybody give more information about this?
Seriously…is there nobody else that is concerned with this? Anybody have a workaround for all of the freezes and disconnects?

No workaround for the campaign problems, only solution is to play single player if you having co-op problems like desynching, or game crashing at specific points, etc. 343 has known about the campaign problems since November but they have yet to act on resolving these issues. At this point, don’t expect them to fix these issues. All you have to do is look at their track record of doing one update a month to fix this games problems. If you want to get their attention, raise some hell over these issues. Strength in numbers my friend, and right now more people complain about this games multiplayer issues then the campaign issues, so 343 has been focusing on those problems for the past 6 months.
I have had these problems as well. Me and my brother beat a mission on LASO, only for it to reset our progress. Then we got further into the campaign, and for the second time, the game froze/crashed on me (right at the end of the mission, no less), which prompted me to delay my LASO run until the game is fixed. Considering that it takes about 4 hours per mission on the LASO playlist, I see no reason to complete each mission 2+ times just to get the achievements. Once is hard enough, but constantly having to restart is beyond frustrating.
Exactly. I must wait until it’s fixed. I can understand a need to work on multiplayer, as more people are concerned about that. But this should not go ignored.
The idea of waiting until multiplayer is fixed is frightening. The matchmaking seems to be only a hair better than it was a month after release. And if you’re trying to play with a party, forget about it. In other words, campaign is a lost cause.

Oh trust me it’s not just you. I’ve wanted to play way more campaign than I have, but it’s just such a gamble/pain in the -Yoink-. Like you said, you can spend hours all for nothing.
At one point my friend and I went through all the campaigns together on heroic without too many issues, but before and after that brief time period it’s been a nightmare.

No people have those issues, they been reported in other postings. It just gets buried in the multiple replies on those postings. We gotta keep playing the waiting game for 343 to address these issues, been playing the game since November and still nothing. Just wish we could get some sort of acknowledgment that 343 knows of these problems and that some sort of fix is being attempted, but nope. Been checking their updates for a few months now and still nothing.
So I tried LASO again, hoping the last few updates fixed the disconnect problems. My co-op partner and I got 5 hours into Truth and Reconciliation…the third level before getting Captain Keyes…we conquered many difficult challenges, just to get disconnected. I’m pretty sure not a single person has done Halo CE LASO start to finish since they updated the skulls in the playlist. There’s no way. Grunt Funeral Skull is ridiculous…so is disconnection. I’m done. I’m going to do it with the original skulls, and then use a person’s checkpoint for the final level. 343 Industries you messed up Halo CE LASO big time, and the disconnections make it literally impossible.

Me & mate have had a few goes on Truth & Rec co-op LASO.
Just now we got 99% of the way through and it crashed. All we had to do was clear the control room of 3 elites and a few grunts, run through and kill a few more at top of hangar & hit the switch. Beyond pissed off and feeling annoyed as the 1st part in the ship is a massive pain!
still can’t connect to halo2 campaign coop…
over 2 years now. MCC was released November 2014. can you believe that over 2 years lol.
I am wondering if the achievements will be repaired. I’ve met the requirements several times for many achievements but they’re not unlocking.

That is absolutely terrible. So it seems the crashes haven’t been fixed. Were you playing online or split screen?

Wow. Well pretty sure they aren’t doing anymore patches for MCC. It’s a real shame that it turned out so problematic.

Do they say done…unlocking? Or just not showing any progress? I had this issue too.

Online. Ended up doing LASO eventually though it nearly crashed in the hangar again! It’s an issue with that part of the level, not connection or anything.
There was a tip on a video somewhere for the golden elite room of waiting in a slightly different place so they all spawn together which helped.
Haven’t been on much recently but have done all of 3 and need to do 4 on legendary and laso.
Can’t play Halo 2’s campaign on the MCC. We lose connection to the servers right away or about 5 minutes into the game. Please fix these bigs or at least let people play coop on local servers
After all this time, achievements are still not “popping.” I decided to go back into the campaigns and noticed that I had unlocked only the first two levels of CE, so I decided to charge thru the campaign on Normal then go back and do it Legendary. Even though the CE start screen shows 10/10 mission completed I did not get achievement credit (unlock) for mission 3 thru 10. Going back thru Legendary now and am in the midst of T and R. Hopefully I will get credit when I finish that level. Come on 343 these issues should have been fixed long ago.
