a few months ago, 343i said there was not enough time to add a spectator mode to custom games.
I find this hard to believe as we have just found out about kill cams and final kill cams!!
Kill cams are cool, but they dont really add any benefits to the game, a spectator mode would HUGLY impact the competitive seen and make halo a cheap game to run on circuits etc.
343i youve adapted perks, default sprint, killcams, care package style weapon drops. So why not adapt a spectator mode like COD has? which would actually bring a HUGE benefit to the game.
I’m pretty sure the kill cams weren’t something added in the past few months and that “there’s not enough time” is still the answer to no spectator mode.
It doesn’t seem like it would be too hard. Just make the forge monitor invisible and bullets pass through him. Seems like most of the code would already exist.

im not, but its clear these elements are styled to be like call of duty’s to attract a new social market

yes, with spectator mode you would be able to do that to, its just you see, currently, MLG for example has to hook some sort of recording equipment to every separate xbox to record the screen, this is very expensive.
The good thing about a spectator mode would be
you would only need one capture device on one xbox
you can switch between different players 1st and 3rd person view
you could fly around the map to get birds eye view and interesting angles
its not impossible, call of duty has a sick spectator mode

It’s not just COD it’s most other FPSs on the market. COD isn’t the only game with custom classes, equipment, etc. Stop acting like 343 is trying to turn halo into COD because they’re not. They are just taking elements from FPS in general to keep halo up to date, as much as people on this site hate that idea.

Dude, just because they announced the feature after they said “No spectator mode”, DOES NOT MEAN that they “added” the features after wards, it just means they’re announcing a feature that’s already in the game.
Also, take all of this “They’re tuning Halo into COD”, “They’re taking ideas from COD”, and “COD only has original ideas” and stick it where the sun don’t shine. Every single new feature IS NOT ideas copied from COD. period, End of story, /Thread

sigh, i know buddy, iam saying, these changes are most like call of dutys, not in the sense of loadouts etc. but some perks are literally exactly the same

your kidding right?
they said there wasent going to be one,
and yes, have you ever played COD before, some of the perks 343i is adapting are literally exactly from COD, faster reload and some other perks are exactly the same as COD’s and dont appear in any other games, ordanance drops are another example, they are similar to the care packages in COD, just designed differently.
Frankie O Connor said in a interview ages ago that the COD series do alot of things right and 343i will be taking ideas from COD
