Still No release date?

Did anyone else notice the lack of a specific release date after the two multiplayer showcases? Everything is still labeled “Holiday 2021”, and I feel like that bit of info got lost in the mix with all of the hype. But I just think it’s interesting that they’re still holding those cards to their chest when the game is practically five months away (Bonnie Ross alluded to a November release date last year).

I personally think it’s odd, considering you’d want to let the masses know when one of your biggest games are coming out during E3 aka the biggest video game event of the year? But what do you all think? Is this a sign of a lack of confidence in the game right now, or is it nothing? Do you think theres a chance for a December release? So many things to ponder with this one.

yeah i don’t understand that, forza horizon 5 got annouced and already has a release date but halo infinite still has no date set. They said they are in the polish phase but still can’t put a date out for the games release, same goes for when the flighting, no dates other than sometime in the summer. talk about vague.

can’t get hyped when there’s nothing concrete yet. i found the footage shown a letdown, not graphics or anything, just the shortness and nothing after.

It’s looking into an October/November release most likely.

Yes I understand that part, but what I don’t understand is that if it is an October/Nov. release date then why not just say the date? We’re 4-5 months out thats not far at all.

it will 100% be december. Watch the 1 min trailer of xbox releases one a month, they show each game coming out from now until xmas. november is forza horizon 5, then december it shows halo infinite but just says fall. They wont release infinite the same month as another exclusive. They wont release the same month as Battlefield 2042, and anything b4 that seems way to early when they have said there will be Flighting. Get ready for a xmas release.

I thought that was wierd as well, I mean I’m not too against it. Maybe they haven’t actually plastered too much depending on what they find, the open ended release date could help

I would be incredibly annoyed if they announce a date and then not meet it. Just drop it when its full on ready. Holiday 2021 November-December is good enough.

yeah the lack of a release date does worry me, the game does look amazing tho! so im hoping we dont get another delay. i think its possible that they are delaying the announcement date for a special event but thats just me wondering.

My prediction is they will drop the release date at Gamescon, with the date being CE’s anniversary.

Im slowly believing that they are trying to met a November release date to coincide with Halo’s anniversary. I can’t imagine what reason they would have to withhold the release date unless they don’t feel confident they can deliver before 2022.

I see where you’re getting at. It’s alarming that they haven’t announced an actual release date after a year delay. Don’t get me wrong the game has graphically improved dramatically. But, if we’re not seeing a release date, it worries me that they’re having some complications.

I’m going to be genuinely mildly disappointed if Infinite isn’t released on CE’s birthday (15th November). It would just be perfect.

It would worry me but it seems like they are keeping to their schedule now so I have high hopes for them.

They are probably still nailing down the date. Notice how they did not talk about special editions or anything like that yet?

I heard from someone that they might release it on the day halo CE came out but I need reliable resources

A bit frustrating to say the least. Was there any other game at E3 for 2021 that hasn’t put a date on their release?

There is always a chance it’s something external to the game that is preventing them from making a firm commitment. Some related to server builds, eSport set ups, or even the TV show schedule.

But c’mon. I need to plan my leave time…

I think they dont want to box themselves in with a date.

Basically this. They’re likely hedging their bets by keeping the “Fall 2021” date as is, even though the season is only a few months out.
After all, we all remember what happened when 343i promised a specific date last year, and then had to follow up with a delay. They’re keeping their release window flexible in case something last-minute comes up that requires adjustment.

My guess is that the absolute latest will be some time in November to coincide with Halo’s anniversary.

I still think that the upcoming Halo Infinite will be coming out on November 2021. From what I have seen so far, 343 Industries really want to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Halo Franchise.
