The fact they are getting us to test a game they have been making for 6 years and still dont feel ready. I would not be surprised if it gets delayed.
No Linear Level system (1-150) Just a poxy Battle pass system why not give us both. So you can see who truly plays the game loads. With the game being a live service game with 10 year plan they could constantly add more levels like extra 50 every year. Just a battle pass is not good enough.
Of course they show Microtransaction in store and they work fine don’t they.
Optimisation is awful. The game does not look that impressive compared to Halo 5 so why does it run like rubbish on a high end PC.
So my Answer is why no release date is it because they are going to delay the game again.
well it needs way more time thats forsure. its the worst running game i ever played.
splitgate is good in the meantime, it runs flawlessly and is basically halo with portals. (and free)

Do you read the Inside Infinite updates or listen to the briefing livestream from Wednesday?
This build waa branched 2-3 months ago from main BEFORE a lot of performance work took place.
it’s there to test SPECIFIC features and sever load.
I’m sorry it’s not running well on your device. Are your drivers up to date? I’m running on a 3090 with a VERY beefy CPU and getting 54-58 FPS consistently and also very strong on Series X. Lots of people I’ve heard complaining have excellent GPUs and weedy CPUs
Re: release date? Why’s it an issue? We haven’t even seen what work they’ve done in the intervening 2-3 months. This isn’t even a beta (unlike Splitgate), it’s a technical preview at pre-beta stage.
If it does get delayed? I’m okay with that if it needs it, but I also have no reasons right now to doubt the Holiday release date. Remember they’re trying to juggle release date around the Battlefield release in October, and other Game Pass entries (Fh5 in early Nov). Let alone CoD possibly.

If you believe them you are stupid. Why not show us the closest to release build so we can test that.
Also my drivers are all up to date i have a 3.5k system and its not my PC as many other people reporting the same. Also we should be testing the one whats closest to release under server load. As we all know when the game comes out servers will crash now.

I have two advanced degrees and work at a national High Performance Computing Centre. I’d invite you to retract that insult and apologise.
The word ‘branch’ is very important here. You branch software in order to work on specific elements from a stable base. They’ve added various modules and features to that stable base to give us this flight. They then need to undertake preliminary testing on it before giving it to the public. All that takes time (about 2-3 months!) If you’re working from the ‘main branch’ changes made elsewhere in main can cause new issues which affect things and will lead to morr problrms down the line.
I get you may not be involved in software development, but what they’ve done here is 100% absolutely correct

Please take the opportunity to either:
- Educate yourself about software/game development - Listen to people who know about these things - Stop insulting peopleI do actually work at a national HPC centre and I have two masters degrees. If you took the time to understand the process here you’d understand that what I’ve said is accurate.
Do you have any useful usable feedback to contribute about the issues you’ve encountered?
In what way is it ‘poorly optimised’? How is it running poorly?
Have you raised tickets to note your issues?

Yes and they will just say Its an Old build. But we all know the newer build will be the same. Yeah i work for Microsoft and my dad owns it. They also know its running poorly because the game is not optimised lol they have even said on twitter. But the retail version will be the same. Let me guess the reason they have no Linear Progression is because this is an old build right ??? lmfao. Take their -Yoink- out your mouth.

When the game is still running like rubbish for everyone and the servers crash on launch. Ill be back here.
> If you believe them you are stupid. Why not show us the closest to release build so we can test that.
Hi there! Amateur game dev here. MorseyBaby is totally correct by the way.
There are many reasons that 343 have chosen to release this build in particular rather than the latest current build. Note that the latest build is probably MORE unstable than this one.
The build we are playing has been picked specifically because a) it has the features necessary that they want us to test and b) they had to curate a specific build for the flight that doesn’t include the many unnecessary and probably broken things that are in the latest build that 343 are working on as we speak. If they were to release the latest build, it would include many more features and maps, but they are still in development and halfway-implemented and would obstruct the features that 343 want us to test.
The release is slated for ‘Holiday 2021’, so around November or December. That is still plenty of time for 343 to get from where they are now to a finished game. If you don’t believe me, look up the development cycles for Halo CE and Halo 2. In Halo CE, multiplayer was coded into the game mere DAYS before Bungie had to ship their final build to Microsoft. And in Halo 2, Bungie had to completely re-write their graphics engine from the ground up halfway through development and still managed to ship it on time.
Your concerns are understandable, but there’s no reason to be so hostile. And I would much rather it be delayed than ship a broken game on launch which would garner negative reviews and completely tank the future of Infinite, and Halo as a whole, forever.

If the game comes out and works flawlessly with no server issues and miles better optimisation. I will treat you to a skin off the store. You have my word. But if the game comes out and its still just as poorly optimised and has major server issues( Meaning we cant get in the game on launch or struggle to ) you buy me a skin

Ok sounds good. So if the game comes out with no severe server issues meaning i can login smoothly with no issues or servers crashing. And if the game is optimised and runs over 144+ FPS on good settings on high end systems. If all these line up and the game comes out polished. I will buy you a skin off store. And if its the opposite comes out with servers constantly crashing games not optimised on high systems then you buy me a skin.
