I understand that 343i are a small indie company, but seriously? Will this feature ever be implemented?

343 is not a “small indie company”. They have the backing of a multi-billion dollar corporation. Indie companies don’t have publishers and usually have fewer than 20 people in the company.

Hopefully it will, but nobody knows as of yet. Given how many times 343 has backpedaled on their promises and outright lied about (and even tried covering up) things they said they were and weren’t going to do, I’m taking anything I hear with a grain of salt.
