Read that everyone that had gotten the Masterchief Collection was going to receive a code for a free Halo 3 ODST but have not received mine. Contacted Microsoft first and was told that they were being sent out in batches and to wait. Gave it another week and still no code, contacted them today and was told I needed to contact the developers. Anyone know how to do that, searched the site and this is the best idea I could come up with for reporting issues. A link to a support number or e-mail would sure be nice.
To be eligible, you needed to have played MCC on or before the 19th of December 2014 while connected to xbox live. Looking at you achievements it looks like you didn’t start playing until just a few weeks ago. If that’s the case, then you won’e be able to get a code for ODST i’m afraid. If you’re positive you did play before December 19th, have a read over the FAQ post in my signature, it’s also stickied in the main MCC forums 
I preordered it and picked it up right away. I have saved the receipt and can e-mail an image of it to whoever needs it. As for playing it while connected to xbox live, that is a bit subjective. I tried to play it well before 19 December, but it never connected to the server and actually let me play. The whole thing seemed pretty buggy and I uninstalled it afterwards (no sense in having something taking up so much space on my hard drive that I can’t play). I installed it again months after the release once I had read online that they had patched all the major issues.

These could be the reasons you haven’t received a code. Even though you owned a copy within the eligible time, maybe it didn’t register for you to receive a code because you never connected to the servers and also uninstalled the game. To be fair the point of the compensation was to reward people for being patient with the multiplayer and helping the devs with producing patches and fixing the game, usually through feedback people had given because they played the game. From the sounds of it, you said “this is broken”, put it down for a few months and are now expecting a free game just because you bought it soon after release.
I guess what I expected as a consumer was to get what I paid for. If I pre-order a game and give a company my money up front, to have it work as advertised when released is a more than reasonable expectation. Bugs and patches are to be expected, not everything can be caught in testing, but I think we can all agree that in this case the shortcomings were pretty egregious. The publisher also realizes this, which is why they are trying to compensate the consumers that purchased the game.
I also have not received my halo 3 dost code yet. I played in Nov. And notified 343 but no code yet.
Pretty much at this point, 343 and Microsoft have both screwed everyone who bought it early, but didn’t play it until later, and those who got it for Christmas and played it on the 24th, 25th or 26th.
The reason the 19th date was chosen was to essentially ‘money-grab’. In this, 343 and Microsoft wouldn’t “lose money” by giving codes to the bulk of players who got it for Christmas.
Complete BS on their part, and I will in no way pay for this DLC, even if it is only $5.
