Still don't understand why 343 added reflex sights

The different weapons’ sights contradict each other. For instance, why bother putting a reflex sight on the BR or SMG and have the holographic reticle displayed on its glass when the holographic reticle can be displayed anywhere (floating in mid-air) like with the AR, Magnum, and Hydra? This contradiction is evident even on the weapons themselves since they have the holographic reticle stuff both on the glass and off of it.

It also throws out the canon that’s been present from Halo: CE all the way to Halo 4 where your Spartan (or ODST) receives their zoom function from a smart-linked video feed from their weapon’s scope directly to their visor’s HUD, so they never have to actually look through the scope itself. Now your character is manually looking through the scope in order to zoom? It’s so counter-intuitive and technologically backwards.

I know the answer to all this is “aesthetic reasons”, but it doesn’t even look cool because of how nonsensical it is. (And it also doesn’t look cool because the sights themselves make the BR and SMG look ugly as sin.) Hell, even when the community had been constantly whining about all the Call of Duty elements that needed to be removed from Halo 4 and having Halo 5’s big selling point being that it’s “back to Halo’s roots”, why would 343 want to add another Call of Duty element that doesn’t even serve a purpose? They shot themselves in the foot for absolutely nothing. I personally don’t see aiming down sights as a CoD element, but much of the community does and it’s definitely an anti-Halo element whatever the case.

Because 343 doesn’t understand a damn thing about halo fans, and are simply trying to make haloo LOOK even more like call of duty in a aattempt to get call of duty fans to purchase the game, (furthermore, they don’t give two craps on making halo a long lasting title, they want the day one sales, and forget about expansion revenue and junk.)

There needs to be a toggle for this, if there is a toggle for one thing in this game it should be Smart Scope/Smart Link.

Yep.

it’s appeal to the COD kids AGAIN, even if it shoudl be blatently obvious the cod kids don’t want codified halo, they want cod.
