Still Confused by how KDA is calculated

I am new to halo Guardians and have recently stared playing multiplayer Big Team Battle and Big Team Super Fiesta. My question is how is your career KDA calculated. It seems like after just a few zero or single digit KDA games my career score drops by .1 However, if I play 10 games with a high (for me) KDA scores, in the 7-10 range, the career score does not go up. Also does quitting a game effect your career KDA? thanks

KDA is calculated as the following: (Kill count + (Assist count ÷ 3) - Death count)

Your career KDA has this same calculation, except it is divided by the total number of games you have played.

Example 1: Super Fiesta match with 15 kills, 8 deaths, and 3 assists. The resulting KDA is: (15 + (3 ÷ 1 = 1) - 8) = 8.0

I currently cannot figure out exactly how Warzone and Warzone Firefight KDA ratios are calculated. And yes, quitting a game still affects your career KDA as the DNF matches will still count towards your overall service record.

Warzone KDA ratios are calculated the same way, I believe. It’s just that AI kills get factored in as well, which leads to some bloated Warzone KDA numbers.

I believe Warzone / FF uses the same formula but only factors in Spartan kills while counting all assists (AI also) — not sure why they went this route

Thanks for the answers!

How do the quits factor into the equation?

A quit is still a game counted towards KDA. For simplicity - let’s say you had a 5.0 KDA (with same underlying stats each game) for 9 games and then quit the 10th game at the start. Your KDA is 4.5.
