Stiff punishments on quitters

I don’t know how many people are seein this, but of the few games I’ve managed to get into with the current server state, the last two 3v3, two quit before i even got into the match, the last match one dropped immediately, the other bailed about 2 min in. So I suffer the landslide defeat and my service record tanks.

What I’m wantin here is some kind of quitter deterrent… specifically a timed lock out dependant on match quit frequency, to include chronic afk’ers.

Then a random crash to desktop… the beta was stellar, but somewhere between then and now, yall blew up the online play.

Would be good if a AI would take the place of the guy who left the game

Agreed

I alway quit when I see the opponent has a massiv advantage trough using bought super decks and cards. When I start with 2 marines and one flying thing, and I see the oponnent starting with a few tanks and lots of others units, I don’t see why I shouldn’t quit.

Those are starting armies… And everyone has access to the same starting armies. There are two for every leader.

I too have had 3 people drop out or simply stop playing once i couldn’t hold off two people at once… Definitely caused me to lost 3 of my blitz matches. Find people who will stick out the game and part up with them… Otherwise you will run into this all day.

There are two armies for every person make sure to cycle and see which one you want once you find your character. I always set up two decks so i have access to both startups depending on who i am playing with and our strategy for the match… Other than initial battle this won’t affect to much.

I don’t even have decks because I refuse to buy anything in this game for real money. But without decks it seems there is no way to win a single game.
In the other game mode it’s the same pay to win: Some people start at tech-level 5 while I start at tech-level 1. They have dozends of tanks while I can’t even build any. Once I managed to grad a point, a second later they bolbarded the point with some kind of orbital super weapon.

I don’t see any way than quitting under such unfair circumstances. I don’t want to play with players who payed a lot of money so the can make sure to win every game. That’s no fun for me. If they get angry about quitting, i don’t care. They payed for winning the game, and then I quit… uhhh… who’s the bad guy in this? I am NOT playing this game so they can win because they already payed for winning.

You guys know theres disconnect issues in matchmaking right now right?

There will be a quitting deterrent. It is coming.

you are rediculous first off there is no pay to win aspect to the standard modes maybe you should try to get good before you use a excuse.

Quitting in this game absolutely condemns the match. I would recommend going in with a full team

There is no tech level 5. It only goes up to 3. Also, you cannot pay for anything in standard. Blitz is the only monetized mode.

The second Blitz packs were announced I knew people would blame them for losses even if the opponent had a lesser deck, but I wasn’t expecting them to be blamed in entirely different modes.

I have a nasty feeling a lot of people are gonna be frustrated with the fact that RTS take a lot more than just brute strength. There is no “winning everything” strat, you have to adapt to your enemy, or you can make the first move. If you can’t counter the rush tactics that a certain someone here is constantly experiencing, practice getting as much defenses out as quickly as possible in Skirmish. Blitz is pretty much the only “pick up and play” mode in this game, and even then it’s much more of a brain teaser than a match of Team Slayer.

I had that problem a lot playing the beta and I believe the best way to solve it is to replace the quitter with a heroic AI. Maybe legendary depending on the enemies’ skill.

Either you are trolling, or you are one of the denser people I have met on the internet. I am leaning towards the latter option. You obviously have NO idea what you are doing in-game. Ever think that maybe your teammates are quitting because you suck at the game?

there are people who get excited when they hear about pay-to-win because it adds another excuse besides lag even tho they have no knowledge if the other player ever bought anything.

You can add punishment when the game stops disconnecting me mid matches I’m winning TYVM

So I have no right to play the game, I just have to pay for it so others may have fun?

All these issues will vanish once a proper skill-based matchmaking is in place.
I’m only playing deathmatch and domination but I am definitely leaving once I realise that the teams are totally unbalanced (on either side).
The standard game modes easily take 30 minutes of my time so when it becomes obvious that one team is totally dominant it makes no sense to play the game.

Edit: In the standard game modes - at least for me - this decision comes up at the initial resource gathering across the map and later at the first expansion.
It’s not about winning all the time but you won’t see a fun game if either team has such a disadvantage from the beginning.

Edit2: +1 for heroic bot replacement
