I like many other Reachers love the grenade launcher. Sharpening my skills I became very good at it being able to estimate where my shots going to land in accordance to where someone is running at fairly large distances. And while I’m sad to see it go, I’m EXTREMELY exited about the new sticky pistol. There are three main features I’m exited about:
1 to be able to stick people and detonate it whenever you like. Hehehe this is going to do for some nice trolling >:) I can not wai to stick somebody in the face and let them run around for five minutes then blowing them up when they’ve forgotten all about it
reminds me of when someone betrayed me in Reach and I let them run around for a few minutes then I boot them >:) heh good times
2 Setting traps. I loved setting traps with the Nade gun. I set a lot of traps in invasion placing the grenade in the doorway that Leeds to the core room then blowing it up when unsuspected Dino’s come in with or without the core >:P Sticky Pistol will make this all the sweeter being able to place it wherever you want!
3 setting traps on vehicles! It will be so satisfying setting a trap on an enemies ghost then hiding behind a tree waiting for an unsuspecting victim to set their gaze on that nice purple vehicle not knowing that entering it will lead to their fire-e death…
I’m very exited for it and I can not wait to try it out when Halo 4 releases
Lol trolling Spartans
“Gah! -Yoink-! I’ve been stu-wait, why wont you detonate?”
“Problem?”

Hehehehe precisely my good friend >:D
I was kinda hoping to see a real grenade launcher like the noob tube in CoD. Something that would work like the Reach launcher except it would detonate on impact instead of that bounce to arm system. Less powerful than a rocket but a few more rounds.
4- Sticking your TEAM MATE, having him rush the guy camping by the flag with a shotgun, and when he’s shooting your teammate dead, blow him to kingdom come.

I don’t know much about CoD but you can use the Grenade Launcher like that in Reach as long as you have a good trigger finger.
I like the sticky pistol, but I don’t think it should replace the grenade launcher, I think they should both be in the game, because the sticky pistol operates like a C4.
Whereas the grenade launcher is remote detonated PROJECTILES, it can be fired at various ranges and be detonated mid air or mid bounce, something the pistol can’t do.
I actually got one of my clips chosen to be on Waypoint, where I got a grenade launcher kill across the map on Boneyard where it bounced a lot, the sticky pistol can’t get kills like that, it’s more of a defensive than aggressive weapon, whereas the nade launcher could be both.
So I would like the nade launcher and sticky detonator to coexist.

Oh my god… I love you… And I just got a sinister idea… Stick your team mate then wait for him to get shot, then blow him sky high… Jesus my life is complete…

Sooo you’re saying you can’t shoot it and detonate it in the air? Well if that’s true that kinda stinks. But the sticky pistol still speaks to my style of play more than the Nade Launcher. I’m really sneaky and stealthy and love setting traps.
I like letting enemies live a bit to give them
False hope and kill them.
The sticky detonator is going to be so good for that.
my only worry is that it’ll be a loadout option not a ordinance drop. The amount of times I played games where people start with power weapons and team-kills galore
Its a nice gun though - it’ll be interesting to see if you can detonate a stuck grenade after you died [a la SW battlefront 2]
quick question - does anyone know if the 'nade blows up after a set time e.g. inactive for 5 minutes = kaboom

You can. Frank O’Connor said in an interview that you can stick someone, die, then go pick up the sticky detonator again and detonate it.
How many times do I go flying past an unmanned vehicle near the enemy base? I whole lot, and now I’m able to basically set up a trip mine on their vehicle :D. I can just drive back to the base and watch someone get in the mongoose or banshee.
The only thing is that, the beeping noise will give it a way. Wouldn’t smart players just stay away from the vehicles of shoot it. Also, the almost no point on putting in on a tank. I doubt it will enough stopping power to do much to a tank anyways.

I don’t think you can detonate it in the air for all the gameplay I saw. You have to wait for it to stick something. I find the gun not very useful at all. It might be good for vehicles but that will probably be it.

Sweeetttt so anyone who picks it up could get a free kill >:D
I really liked the Grenade Launcher in Reach. I don’t think the Stick Detonator will be as good as it, but we’ll have to see.
Anyone knows whether or not it’ll have an EMP effect, and whether or not shooting it will detonate it?

Hmmm you could put it on the canopy? Noob players probably wouldnt not notice though lulz but blow that off to make the gunner open to DMR/BR shots. Buttt ima stick it under the vehicles so they can’t find it

I don’t think it will be even though it’s a side arm because who eva heard of a one shot kill being a primary spawn weapon? Although if it was I’d have the time of my life
