Anyone else think the Sticky detonator should return in Halo 6? It was a very good weapon when used by a skilled player was generally a very fun weapon to use, its also my favorite weapon in all of Halo.
I missed that gun a lot! Maybe it could return a secondary fire-mode for the granade launcher?
I want it to return, super fun weapon.
I wouldnt mind seeing it return, was fun to use. They could even add it as a varient to the grenade launcer if they bring back reqs.

Let’s hope there will be variants WITHOUT any form of casual unlock system, thank you very much .
Back to topic, yeah! The Sticky was a fun weapon and I was surprised about it’s removal frankly. Than again, initially there wasn’t even a Hammer…

Would be cool to link a weapon like that to a plasma grenade commendation reward or something. 100 plasma kills & you unlock the sticky detonator.
I think the Sticky Detonator should come back since it does something that no other weapon does: It lets you make traps. I just hope that if they do, then the grenades from it aren’t painfully obvious with giant red glows or a storm of sparks flying out of it. FPS game devs usually make traps like these so easy to spot that they can’t be used as traps, thus defeating their original purpose.

If there wasn’t a glow and beep it would be too op, the glow can be easily disguised by hiding the grenade behind a wall near an entrance. That way, if someone walks by, the only way they can see the bomb coming is if they happen to catch the beep or if they walk pass near the entrances and spot it, but by that point the only way they could notice by spotting it is if the player the with gun didn’t detonate the bomb already, as the bomb is behind the wall and could only be see at the range the bomb explodes and kills. The bomb’s glow is also balanced by just how fast the grenade is, you can shoot that thing from a far distance and hit an enemy and lf they are standing relatively still, or walking/crouching, yesterday, i was playing Halo 4 on abandon and shot the grenade from the top building down near an enemy near a tree, he wasn’t fast enough as the bomb flew right to him and exploded, he could see the bomb flying towards him cause of the glow so he had a chance, but he was too slow, i also fired the grenade before he noticed me, and with good accuracy. Also if the enemy is sprinting you can predict where they will run to and shoot a grenade there and kill them. If its being used by a skilled player, or the enemy is caught off guard, its a very good weapon. Might even be the most well balanced weapon in Halo.
awww man, that thing was fun,
in infection, stick it to a team mate, have team mate run into on-coming horde of infected, then BOOM!

I didn’t say there should be no warning whatsoever from the Sticky Detonator. Just pointing out that lots of games out their make “trap” weapons like these too obvious. Kind of like how lots of game devs make shotguns have less range than a melee weapon. Truth be told, it’s been so long since I’ve used a sticky detonator that I’ve forgotten what it looks like when armed.
