When the sticky detonator is stuck to a teammate, will it detonate when shot at? Also, do you have to stay within a certain radius of the sticky detonator, or will it blow up on its own?

The Sticky Detonator will automatically detonate after a certain period of time, not from the player walking away a certain distance, and it will explode if shot at regardless of what surface it is on.

You can in fact use your team mate as a walking bomb with the sticky det.

Stick the damn thing to your own flag. It’s a great tactic. Especially if you wait for the carrier to hop on a Goose.

Never thought of that. I usually stick it to a mantis and wait.
Use it and AC to hold a position, like stick it to the console in dominion.

Whenever I stick it to an object, be it a flag, a gun, or anything that can be picked up it explodes the instant it is picked up.

There are 3 instances where a Sticky Detonator device will…Detonate.

  1. User gets out of range of operational radius, causing device to detonate. (Try shooting it straight up, it’ll detonate on its own.)
  2. Device is shot directly, more than likely with a precision weapon.
  3. Device stays alive for a certain period of time, causing said device to detonate on its own. Take caution when using this device, as collateral damage may occur.

The sticky detonator can explode when shot at. I am not sure if it will count as their kill since I haven’t been able to see if it is possible. At least in IS, you can stick teammate with it, and detonate it without killing your teammate (insert diarrhea joke here).

There is a certain distance you will need to be within to prevent it from exploding early.
