Stickies don't stick perk

For halo 5 just an idea if 343 does perks again like they did on halo 4

Add a perk where stickies hit a person but don’t stick but they still explode
And balance it so it isn’t extremely overpowered with other perks like some perks on halo 4

No thanks. I didn’t like it when someone used armor lock on Halo Reach to get a sticky to fall off. This wouldn’t be much different. If you land a sticky grenade on someone that should be a guaranteed kill in my opinion.

Anyway, if you have further suggestions for Halo 5 try posting them in the Halo Xbox One forum!

The difference is that in Halo Reach you couldn’t spawn with sticky grenades (outside of things like Elite Slayer for example), whereas in Halo 4 you can.

Sticks aren’t near as uncommon now as they used to be, which means if we’re going to have to continue dealing with them, there ought to be some way to counter them. I don’t think a perk is the right way to go though… but it may be the only good option if they choose to keep perks in the game.

We shouldn’t need perks like this to combat the plethora of plasma grenades out there, they should be removed from the loadout options.

I personally feel the best way to help balance Stickies that will raise the skill gap on them, is to rework them so they have to travel a certain distance in the air before they actually become sticky (which will be clearly signified by the “blue flare” activating mid-flight).

This will prevent players from getting cheap-easy close quarters kills with it. While also adding a little bit of extra realism to the weapon (considering it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for it to become sticky as soon as you press the red button, or it would stick to the thrower’s hand).

Also, the vast majority of the problem lies in the fact that we spawn with 2 grenades. I’ve taken issue with grenade spam in most of the Halo franchise games. In terms of online play specifically Halo 3, Reach, and 4, and that’s even with just frags. If we only spawned with ONE grenade, no matter which type we chose for our loadout, the balancing issues with each grenade, from Frag spam to cheap sticks, would instantly be in nearly half. It would fix all kinds of issues, from Stickies totally overpowering vehicles in H4, to playing on small arena maps only to have them be frag heaven. And it might even be worth using the Pulse nade if you weren’t more limited than you are when you use the others.

I would want this, but only because the aim assist and magnetism is so huge every beginner sticks all day long. Many games, deaths from stickies are the only ones I have.

im hoping we’ve seen the last of perks and even if they do return i REALLY dont want to see this one. i think it would be better to put them back on map or bump it down to one plasma per loadout if loadouts come back.

I’d say no. I say no because if someone sticks you they deserve the kill. Also, frags are far more common and much more deadly. So any worries about grenades should be focused on those beasts.

The whole point of STICKIES is to STICK to a target

Remove Plasma Grenades from loadouts. There is no reason to give everyone them. It hampers vehicle combat and turns into a panic device in regular gunfights. If you need them, pick them up. They aren’t hard to find.

NO - NO PERKS AT ALL!!!

I’ve got an idea lets slowly return to balance gameplay. And removing Perks is one small steps to achieving that.

I mean I don’t mind the perks think in social play I just think they need to be better balanced like in call of duty

Also I don’t want this perk to be like armor lock it will literally be just like someone will throw a sticky and it just won’t kill

Also increasing the radius of the sticky explosion more like the one in halo reach because it has a good radius
And not like the one on halo 3
Halo 3 stickies are over powered especially with this much aim assist

Or, if they intend to keep loadouts, just remove stickies from the options and place them on the map? That way sticky grenades become much less of a problem. Like how it should have been in Halo 4. A simple fix that negates the need for more overcomplicated perks to clutter the game and turn it into even more of a random mess.

Adding extra perks to counter broken mechanics rather than just fix them is stupid. How about… no spawning with plasma grenades?

I mean I don’t like load outs but they for pretty well for casual gaming I think there should be two different playlists for it
And I think load outs aren’t as bad when the loadouts aren’t too unbalanced like I feel that you shouldn’t be able to spawn with jet pack but it should be a power weapon on the map

343 isn’t bad just they way some thing were out out weren’t to great but the idea is fine

That’s just my opinion though, I could be right and I could be wrong

Call of duty isn’t something I would put the word balance with.

this is i think one of the best suggestions ive read there is nothing more annoying then getting stuck all the time i happened to much back in halo 3 and reach let alone now that you can spawn with them in halo 4 this is just the same as them making it so easy to destroy vehicles in this game which is why i loved the survivor perk so much it meant i died to bull -Yoink- less often

I don’t know man like it seems like they know how to balance out perks better than halo 4 but then again they’ve tested it for a very long time
