I’m talking about when you make a title update. Make it absolute, I’m annoyed with TU games and no TU.
TU makes the game more playable and less luck/spam driven. I play with a group of friends and they sometimes switch between them and when I’m in a non-TU game I just get annoyed from the crap recoil (to hell with bloom, guns have recoil).
And also, narrow the field with playlists. You’re dealing with a smaller crowed nowadays, too small to have the amount of playlists that you have in Reach. Stick with something similar to Halo 3.
And one last suggestion, you should try and make the game for the people, and I mean that by have occasional giveaways of map packs to people who don’t have them currently, make it a special event playlist or something, all who play are entered into a draw to win or something like that. And do what you did with H3 and have good deals on the map packs, I know it’s Microsoft’s call most likely, but if you want bragging rights for being on the consumers side, do deals.
Every halo has had one or two TU’s
But I think Reach is the only one not to he av es it across the board .
Halo 4 will probably have 1 TU
i hate playing my reliable, more fun, less random, less luck TU a lot and then going to a random game that isn’t TU and messes up my DMR and espically my Needle Rifle soooooooo bad. it’s really annoying. TU for Halo 4 needs to be EVERYWHERE, not just some playlists.
It’s better to have options.
Think about it this way; if you were on the other side of things, you’d be disagreeing with yourself.
For every argument, there are two sides.
Thus, for every answer, there are two possibilities.
If I say “What is the color Pink made up of?” you’d say “Red & White”. I could then argue that it’s White & Red, and still be correct. Though we’d at least disagree once.
yep, make every change universal
I agree 1Billion Percent! I’m also sick and tired of the Fragmentation in Halo:Reach, it makes no sense and it isn’t needed. Anniversary is fine failing to recreate Halo 1 gameplay with Reach luckly i got used to the F’ed up running speed that made strafing awkward. Everything else Super Slyer and Team Slyar, Squad DLC and everything else should be unified under TU. There should be no special “TU” gametypes as all gametypes should be under the Title Update. This issue really bugs the Shhh out of me and there is no real logical reason for this fragmentation. Having to adjust too 2-3 differnt gametypes in 1 game is stupid as F.

Those who want non TU are just a bunch of babies that resist change. No different than the people who still play Halo 3 because they feel that Reach is too much like COD.But their problem is that they fail to realize that the game is full into this generation were you can do more in a game than in the past generation. From the start if the TU was everywhere we all would be in the same boat right now playing the same game hating and or loving it like we did bfore the TU. The difference back then was that you were able to play everything all playlists, now we’re segregated to our own playlists because no one is going to be wasting their time to adjust to differnt settings. As time goes on and we spend more time in our own playlist we get worse at the other, So when we end up playing with friends who like a playlist we don’t then we suffer because we aren’t adjusted. Ruining the whole night because the settings are just so different; It is a real pain and a real headache to adjust to different settings for nooo real reason, there is noo reason why we need 3 different settings under one game all depending on what playlist you play casuing you to never even touch certain playlists. 343 would you like a funfact? Since the start of the year i have never ever played any of maps that i paied for because they’re all under Squad DLC. Becaue it lacks TU i never play it. So because of you i never use maps that i paid for and for what? For NOTHING.
Halo Reach needed the biggest TU and not everyone wanted it for some reason - so you have different playlists with tons off different settings …
Lets just hope halo 4 is great out off the box and not as broken as vanilla Reach .
The TU destroys the sandbox nature of the game that was already broken. The majority of people that liked those changes were people who don’t even play Reach.

Liked which changes? The changes the TU brought? I can tell you, the bloom reduction for one is the one thing that made Reach more playable. Non-TU playlists are garbage for the spam and pray DMR, and the stickies that get launched off the enemy and blow up in your face?

It needed the biggest because Bungie a) Probably didn’t want to make it so they cut corners with the maps, and b)Added so much new stuff and tried to condense it into a halo game but was left with a failed experiment. Don’t get me wrong, Reach is a good game but it doesn’t really feel like the good old halo games. You feel it driving the hog, you feel it flying a banshee or a scorpion and a sniper is messing you up before you can even target them.
Last time I checked, title updates UPDATE THE TITLE, 343. Its not a TU if half of the title is the same.
OP, I agree 100%

Think about mlg went from 100% Bloom to 0% Bloom and it needed to as vanilla Reach was a huge letdown .
Game wide/menu title updates/patches that you are forced to download. None of this optional TU nonsense. Every game has them and its no shame on the developer to have monthly patches. Gears has already had 6 which have improved the game.
