STELLAR UPCOMING UPDATE 343i THANK YOU!!

I just have to say several of my and the communities’ qualms have been addressed in the new update on next Monday! This is exciting news not only because it will make Halo an even more fantastic experience but because 343i is indeed listening to its fanbase! such a relief and my faith has been restored.

First of all I am super excited for the continued expansion of Free For All with it’s own playlist! I greatly enjoy playing with friends in team slayer but when I’m by myself FFA will always be my goto playlist. Halo matchmaking is not complete without it.

Secondly forge maps are finally getting some love. The stock and DLC maps are great and all but the variety forge maps enables in MM and ingenuity of talented community forgers cannot be understated.

And last but most certainly NOT least is the GAUSS HOG NERF!! THANK YOU SO MUCH. The auto aim, magnetism, and damage of the gauss hog is being reduced. SOOO MUCH BETTER.

Also I am very happy to see the return of the X marker upon death. It’s a classic strategic icon in Halo and needs to stay.

THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH 343i!! This update is absolutely fantastic.

In-game CSR is now basically my only request!
PLEASE!!!

Still RIDICULOUSLY happy about the other stuff

I agree! This update makes me very happy, I’m glad to see some big changes being done!

WAIT WTF? we’re getting an update? whats in it?

Don’t forget the ability to modify weapons. I bet it’s going to be in custom games though.

From the Weekly Bulletin :

> Enabled “X-Markers” on the HUD to designate when and where teammates are killed.
> Updated Active Camo to fully reveal players when they fire all weapons.
> Reduced the auto aim, magnetism and damage on the Gauss Warthog.
> Fixed an issue in which some players at SR-130 did not see their Specialization on their in-game Player Card.
> Fixed various issues with ordnance navigation markers.
> Fixed various join-in-progress issues with Flood.
> Added the ability to make weapon adjustments via backend tuning.
>
> If your ears perked up with that last one, you probably understand what this means. Previously added weapon adjustments, such as the Bolt Shot Nerf that went live last month, needed a title update in order to be released. With this title update, we are adding the ability to make weapon adjustments outside of the standard title update process. This will allow us to fine tune and tweak the Halo 4 sandbox as often or not as often as needed. One thing to keep in mind is that even the tiniest of changes affects the sandbox as a whole, so these adjustments will be closely scrutinized and carefully tested before being released. We’ll be sharing more about the different things we can do with our soon-to-be-acquired weapon-tuning “knobs” in our PAX East panel, so keep your ear close to the ground for the latest on that particular aspect of the title update.

I’ll set up a link to a thread with the update features.

Got beaten to it.

Could that last one mean a DMR nerf or a BR buff?

can they bring back descoping?

Yes, yes it could! Honestly both would be welcome

> Could that last one mean a DMR nerf or a BR buff?

It could mean any kind of sandbox balancing!

I see no BTB objective. Update is far from being stellar.

No… It’s for them to fine tune stuff…

lolWHAT?!

Did you even read what was written in regards to that? It’s for them, the developers, not you.

lol.

I hope the gauss remains a one hit kill though.

It IS stellar because it is direly needed PROGRESSION. Not all of our wishes can be granted immediately. They are prioritizing fixing H4’s critical matchmaking flaws. Granted, additional playlists are very much desired but clearly they are sticking to the weekly rollout (now biweekly). Core MM tweaks are far more important.

I’m sure it will be. Probably hopefully won’t destroy the tank so fast tho.

That is stupid 343i.

It takes two shots if you are good but three on other occasions to bring down the Scorpion.

Unless the Banshee is damaged it takes two shots to bring it down.

Bringing down other hogs at full health can take two shots.

On the other hand, if you are on target with the Scorpion shots on the Gauss, Banshee or any other vehicle, you are a one shot destroyed vehicle.

Nerf the auto aim and magnetism on the Gauss is one thing.I can live with that. But the damage nerf is uncalled for!

What should have been done is make the strength of ALL vehicles on ALL maps stronger.

I can live with auto-aim and magnetism adjustments where and when required.

But damage? No need to change that.
