Steam charts (115 place)

My favourite game is almost dead, i don’t know if i should cry or not…
when season 2 drops there won’t be a player left shooting.

They haven’t addressed a single core problem with the game, and so they have been consistently losing players at a steady rate of exponential decay.

No sign of it stopping any time soon. Radio silence on netcode fixes, new content, fixing the awful customization and progression systems, etc…

Overpriced store items are not the reason people are leaving this game in droves, and yet that’s the only thing they’ve even really talked about.

Please stop comparing the Steam charts. Most players will be on Xbox, or through the Microsoft Store because of Gamepass. Yeah the population is going down all over but Steam playerbase is probably the smallest out the 3.
But like people have said before, the decline isn’t helped by no decent update on networking and latency.

It’s the only facts we have to go by, I see nothing wrong with using that as one resource.

One of the biggest issues since even the flights has been M&K vs Controller. And this is also the single largest issue that 343 chooses to ignore. They’ve at least acknowledged issues with desnyc, network, BTB, and most other issues, but have yet to even mention anything about M&K vs controller. I’m not surprised by Steam population statistics being so low because of the continued lack of communication of this topic from 343.

I´m on Xbox, used to play every day for a couple of hours, but since BTB broke to the point of not being able to even enter a match I only play a couple of days a week.

Xbox charts don’t have numbers but placement shows the game is looking to be doing fine.

Thats a first if it dropped below 10k. Ouch.

Its all good though, all the real players are on Xbox… or so I’m told. If *Certain Affinity is doing a BR it’ll get some new life. Maybe. Maybe not.

I stopped playing because of the desync issue just made the game unfun to play. Plus since there isn’t forge, replay options like mission select (like ODST since its an open world), an no coop not much to do. My friends stopped before that due to the lack of gamemodes and have either moved on or went back to playing MCC.

I’m very curious to see if they will address the bloat problem they created for themselves. Where each armor core has its own coatings. So there is three HCS coatings in the game files. Same goes with gametypes since they restricted game options. Since slayer doesn’t have random primary/secondary, a whole gamemode type has to be their for Fiesta. I wonder if it will be addressed before it becomes an issue or when after so many seasons it has become a problem.

Will everyone please -Yoink!- about steam charts. Most people have the game on Xbox or through Gamepass. Steam charts represent 30% or less of the playerbase. Stop using this as a representation for all games that are on platforms other than Steam. It’s not a PC only game. Players are leaving but using Steam charts as a representation of the playerbase of an Xbox game is sheer ignorance.

the problem is people using Steam charts as if it’s the only factor determining the size of the playerbase when it’s so damn miniscule in comparison to the other services.

It’s the only metric that shows population counts.

Then stop using the metric because it’s a terrible representation of the actual playerbase. Halo has literally ALWAYS had a smaller population on PC than on Xbox so the steam charts are not surprising by any means.

It’s like comparing CSGO steam charts numbers to the Xbox 360 playerbase of CSGO. It doesn’t make any sense.

Why do you think 343 and Microsoft want to keep the population numbers a secret?

Who said they’re keeping them a secret? Of course Halo has lost players. It was doomed from the start in that regard. There was no way that an arena boomer shooter was ever going to hold the attention of today’s gamers. It should have been expected.

Oh, I don’t know maybe the fact that there is no where to find population count statistics on Xbox.

And right now it’s number 5 on most played Xbox Games. “Almost dead”

What’s hilarious is that you’re like “almost dead” and then you show it right next to two popular games that do pretty well.

lol

Halo Reach did the same thing in the first two months after launch.

I’ll actually care when you stop excluding both game pass and console players…

Unfortunately, 343 and Microsoft don’t make these numbers available.
